Autocorrect is stupid. Sorry I meant the Moyu LiYing.

I hear you. As for the question about getting it for your friend to start with. I think it's a good idea but I think the YJ Sulong, Chilong, and the Yulong would be a bit better due to the price of them. I don't really have the LiYing yet but I've heard it's an awsome cube.

what cube should I get for a complete beginner? What size cube should I get (I'm 175cm, 64kg Asian male)? What size cube are used in competition?

Are those 50mm Zhanchi for $12 genuine stock?

Thanks.

ShengShou Linglong?

Is ShengShou Linglong next version of Aurora?
and is it better compared to aurora?
and is Shengshou wind cube better than aurora?

As far as I know the Linglong is the just a mini version of the Aurora. But I do know for sure that the Aurora is basically just a Florian modded Wind. So therefore the Aurora is newer and better. I think it is one of the most overlooked speedcubes on the market actually. You would really like the Aurora. The Wind is not that good though, it feels nice, and isn't a bad option for beginners, but there is absolutely zero reverse corner cutting.
Summary, Wind = Bad, Aurora = Good, Linglong = Small. Happy cubing.

The cube I usually recommend for beginners is the ShengShou Aurora but YJ 3x3 cubes, like the SuLong and ChiLong, are also worth looking into. The standard size for a 3x3 is 57mm but not everyone uses the same sized cube. For example, my main 3x3 is 55mm. In my opinion the 50mm Zhanchi is too small to speedcube with. I still use mine from time to time but I could never see myself use it in a competition. That being said $12 seems accurate for a 50mm Zhanchi.

Aosu vs Weisu

I was deciding to buy a new moyu 4x4

I was wondering what is the difference between the Aosu and the Weisu.

Which is one is better?

I had some internal popping issues with my Weisu, but I took it apart to lube and retension and one of the small internal pieces wasn't in great. I followed Convinsa's assembly method, and I found the small internals stayed in place much better.

Could just be me, but I've had zero problems since.

Anyhoo - the Aosu is still better, but if you have a Weisu with issues this might help! :D

Is there any main hardware that is different between the two?

If you dont have enough money for the Aosu like I did, then a weisu is perfectly fine.

If you do have the money, get the Aosu.

What should I do with my cube?

I have a competition to go to on the 30th. My current Rubik's cube is the newer, store bought cube which has been through vaseline and lube. Apparently the vaseline worked better than the lube I brought..Should I try a new lube or should I just leave the cube the way it is?

I'm looking for the quietest 3x3 I can get. It doesn't need it to be that good of a cube, if it's not rubbish I'll be happy.

Thanks
