I am thinking about getting 4x4 which I will use for 4BLD.
Which is more stable: Weisu or Aosu?
For BLD events I want quite fast, but smooth and stable cube. For standard cubing I use Weilong but for 3BLD I use Guhong.

I haven't spent much time with a Weisu, but I have an Aosu and it is very stable. It's reasonably smooth even without lube, and it's fast enough that I really don't need lube. It seems like the type of cube that would be especially easy to speed up or slow down as you need by setting it up differently. The main reason I would say Aosu instead of Weisu is that the Weisu reportedly has bad popping issues, and I have never popped the Aosu. Pops would pretty much DNF a BLD solve, I guess. Weisu and Aosu are both very stable, and you probably won't go wrong with either, but most people seem to prefer the Aosu for about everything.

Out of the new cubes on the market (i.e., SuLong, WeiLong, ChiLong, Fangshi Shuangren v2, Cx3) which one feels the most like a Guhong v2?

In response to Michael, I don't feel that the Maru CX3 is like the Guhong V2 as the CX3 is very crunchy and loud while the Guhong V2 is smooth and relatively quiet.

I feel that out of the cubes you listed, the cubes by Moyu (SuLong, WeiLong, and ChiLong) would be a closer feel to the Guhong V2 that you are accustomed to.

Durable speedcube?

Are there any good performance speedcubes that are also fairly durable?

I've had a Zhanchi for only 2 months but 2 centerpieces have already broken in that time

I've finally gone ahead and bought a Weilong based on a few recommendations on reddit.com/r/cubers (LunHui was the runner-up). I'd still like to hear people's opinions on this forum, though

Weilong is nice for me though because I want a really fast cube to make finger tricks easier than they were on my Zhanchi (out-of-the-box).

Thanks..

Edit:
I think the reason for my predicament might be twofold:
* hours of use daily
* no lube, which allows the stems (the parts of the centerpieces breaking on my Zhanchi) to heat up and soften due to friction

Also possibly bad luck

It's the only cube I have (so it gets lots of use) and I'm actively learning on it. It's my first cube. I've gone from 2-look CFOP to currently learning 1-look CFOP on it

My ShuangRen is still good (if anything, it's better) after 7 months. It's still fast, but not uncontrollable like the WeiLong.

You could wait until reviews start coming out for the Moyu DianMa and then if you like the reviews, try it. Other than that, i don't think anything will be as good as a Zhanchi or Weilong except for maybe a HuanYing or a LiYing, except maybe a ShuangRen, but from what i heard ShuangRens are hard to tension.

That wasn't the question.
If you broke 2 center caps already, there's a problem. I've had mine for years and it's pristine.

I've found that dayan cubes are not that durable due to the fact that the center stems are so thin. I've also experienced corners snapping on earlier versions of Dayan cubes. I think the weilong has a very solid structure, but my experience is that every cube will get too loose at some point, probably due to wear on the pieces.

If you like smooth cubes, get a Dayan
If you like scratchy/crunchy cubes get a wittwo
If you're in between, get a lingpo

I have no idea what the fangshi 2x2s are like so I can't recommend them.
