Hello Everyone!
It has been two years since i have bought a Funskool Rubik's Cube. Yesterday only someone told me the trick(simplest one) to solve the whole rubik cube. I got impressed. And i have solved that rubick nearly 50 times. But i have got irritated by using that 'JUNK' rubik cube. So i have decided to purchase a new one.
My REQUIREMENTS -
1. Smooth.
2. Pieces should not pop out as far as possible.
3. Not DIY(Do It Yourself) kit.

So, as you have guys noticed that i am a beginner please suggest me one cube. Btw, through my research i got to know that Dayan Guhong V2 would be best but i need to confirm this from you guys.

My FEAR-
Guhong V2 would be too fast for me. :( Is it?

Dayan Guhong v2 or Moyu Weilong or Shengshou Aurora?

MY REQUIREMENTS -
1. Smooth.
2. Pieces should not pop out as far as possible.
3. Should not be uncontrollably fast.

Either Guhong or Aurora would be fine for you. Aurora is probably a smoother cube. Personally, I'd go for that. Also cheaper! :)

I am a beginner and i know how to solve the whole cube by simplest method. I want one fast cube. Please suggest within my budget of $6 (400rs.).

YJ ChiLong. Long lasting and extremely good speedcube for beginners as well as speedcubers :)

Buying a cube advice

Hi.

I would like to ask a few questions before buying a Dayan cube.

1. I saw a Zhanchi V5 Stickerless on the Internet and they say it is 6.2 x 6.2 x 5.8 in size. Is this a correct Dayan size or is the cube fake?

2. What is the difference between a Guhong V1 Stickerless and Guhong V2 Stickerless?

3. How can I tell if a cube that is selling on the Internet is a Guhong V1 or V2?

4. Is there a good stickerless speedcube available in which the colours of the cube pieces cannot be seen on the side of the pieces when turning?

5. Which speedcube has the most durable stickers and roughly how long do they last?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm not advanced by any means. Average around 28 seconds. But I just got a ShengShou Aurora in the mail yesterday and it is amazing. It will not be replacing my Weilong V1, but a close, buttery second lol.

1. Zhanchi's are standard 57mm. The 6.2 might be including the box but I'm not 100% sure.

2. GuHong V2 has torpedoes, V1 does not

3. If it doesn't say V2 in the title or description, check for torpedoes

4. The only cube I can think of at the moment with that description is the Rubik's Speedcube or Rubik's 2.0. It has a black body with embedded tiles but I don't own one so I can't say whether or not it's good.

5. I don't think there is any one speedcube that has the most durable stickers. They all chip but it really depends on how well you take care of your cube. Chances are you'll have to eventually replace the stickers but I'd say the stock stickers might last a few months.

With that being said, Dayan cubes are great speedcubes. My main is currently a Zhanchi and it has been my main for a few years now. You can't go wrong with getting one.

YuLong. Much nicer than the earlier YJs IMO.

If you choose between the Weilong and Aurora I would suggest you to buy the aurora.
The Weilong would be probably too fast, a lot of people tend to overshoot with the Weilong.
And if you're a beginner you can better learn with a more controllable cube.
We can only know if it's original if we can see a picture of the mechanism, but sometimes they show other cubes then they send.
But why buy off ebay? There are a lot of cheap shops, like lightake, fasttech and cubezz. And there you know you get the cube you paid for.

Thank you for solving my problem. My average timing is around 1 minute with the beginners method. Also some people say that the Moyu Weilong V2 is a really good and fast cube while Shengshou Aurora is really smooth. So if my control over the cube gets better,is Moyu Weilong worth going for?

I was wondering how people feel about the cyclone boys black 3x3?...I have a cyclone boys "simplified" version I got off of lightake and it is pretty good. I was wondering if the black 3x3 is just a "legalized" version of the strengthened or simplified versions?. I can't find a review for it online and I am debating whether to get it.
