I have a normal rubiks cube and am looking to buy a better one so my solves can get under 30s a little more often. I use Ortega so I'm looking for a cube that has good slicing and doesn't need lubed very much. Also, I'm wondering, what are the pros and cons of sticklerless vs with-stickers? Stickerless seems cooler and easier but I need to know if they make you slower somehow. . . I'm considering just getting a stickerless zhanchi, is this a good idea?
thanks,

Are lubix elites any good cuz iv heard that they aren't that great?

if you're thinking of actually buying a lubix elite, then seriously look at the pricing they cost a deadly hundred bucks! which I think is outrageous. you probably agree too.

okay, here are the pros and cons of stickerless and stickered cubes:
stickerless
pros:
no annoying sticker replacement
grippy
you can solve underwater!

cons:
illegal in comp
cannot fix if colored pieces get damaged

stickered cubes
pros:
legal in comp
can replace damaged stickered

cons:
not as grippy
cannot use underwater :(
annoying sticker replacement

hopefully this helps you make your choice!

My brother's going to get a stickerless Zhanchi and I'm just going to get another 4x4. That helped a lot though, thanks :)

So, now the question! What 4x4 should I get? I just want something relatively cheap and somewhat better than a Rubiks Revenge. Also preferably small so it fits my hands better :)

Off-topic: How can you average 43.3 and have a best of 19.92?! I average 35 and my best is 25. I think it's 'cause I use Ortega.
Also off-topic: does anybody want to explain to me how to put a signature on the bottom of all of your posts?

4x4: Shengshou - cheap, small, great quality

Creating a signature: go to homepage of the forum. In the upper right, click the link 'Settings'. on the page it brings you to: scroll down and on your left will be a box labeled 'My Settings' Find the link to 'Edit Signature'

And how do you use Ortega to solve the 3x3? Ortega is the method people use for 2x2...

I'm thinking of buying a Teraminx soon. As far as I know, there are only two manufacturers mass producing them, C4U and MF8. Do they both turn equally bad (?), or are there differences between C4U and MF8? Which one should I get?

Corners First Method. Then fix D edges, 3 u edges. Orientate, permutate L4E

It's hard to make one that functions well, but mf8 is still better by a longshot. C4u hardly turns at the start.

about the 19.92 record, that was just an extremely lucky solve-I skipped oll AND pll

Something eastsheen-sized I saw theirs are pretty small but the corner cutting of the eastsheen doesn't seem all that great.

sorry for the double post I feel like nobody would reply with an answer if I left it semi-answered.

I am thinking about getting shengshou 6x6 because v cubes a clickey and hard to turn when you first get them do they get better than a shengshou over time, and are they worth the money.

V-Cubes are pretty good, although I'd go for a Shengshou. They glide better in my opinion.

Get a Shengshou. They're much better out of the box, but are a bit slower than modded V-cubes.

Modded V-cube>Shengshou>Regular V-Cube

Remember, the mod takes a lot of work. Don't have this mod be your first, or else you'll have a 6x6 that ended up like mine:in the trash.

I like the springy feel of my Alpha, but I was very disappointed with the FII. Turns feel slow and clunky, and the sticker quality was the worst I've seen by far. I haven't tried the others, but I think the Zhanchi is worth the price difference, even for a slower cuber like me.
