Of the DaYan+MF8 4x4, X-Cube 4, and ShengShou 4x4, which is the best? Also, which is the worst of the three?

If you're reasonably new to 4x4, then get the Shengshou. It is half the price of the Dayan, and a quarter of the price of the x-cube at the moment. It's not critical to get the very best cube for 4x4, particularly if you're not a pro at it yet. The shengshou is still a really good cube, even for an experienced 4x4 solver.

As for my opinion, I like the Shengshou best anyway.

i was wanting to get a pyraminx, and on cubedepot they have only the QJ and Mozhi, which is better overall? im not looking to be crazy fast but i just want to be able to move adequetly

I'm looking for a cube that is fairly cheap, cuts corner and can turn really fast.
I remember i tried a mini type A that had edges a lot bigger than the corners and that felt really good.
I didn't really like the A-V because, well, the plastic felt it felt "squeaky"

So I guess:
A fast cube
Cuts Corners
Good speedcube
Feels like the mini A. :)

Any opinions on the best mini cube available here in the states? My Girlfriend has small hands and i want to get her a cube to fit her for Valentine's day. (along with flowers and other stuff....geez it's not like i'm just getting her a cube xD)

Hey all, I'm looking for a new 3x3x3
I already own the F-II cube and I like it very much, but it's getting kind of old and the caps keep popping off. I do not want to glue down the center caps incase I have to change the tensions, but they keep popping off.

I love the feel of the F-II, and I heard the Ghost Hand II is relatively similar?
I'm also looking into the A5. I know it's a crispier cube but I'm thinking of maybe getting cubes with different feels just to change things up.
The A5 can be modded into a haiyan memory, correct?
I'm a relatively slow cuber, with around 30-40 second solves, but I'm a rough turner, so my FII likes to lock up. Would that happen with the GH 2 or the A5?
Cubes like my friends LingYun pop in my hands, and I don't really like the square feel of the GuHong.

Thanks.

i need a good 2x2... ive been looking into the lan lan and ghosthand, seeming there the top 2 right now (not sure about the v cube2x2)

many ppl say there lan lan has broke and i dont want a cube that breaks so im wondering if any has tips on how to keep their lan lan in good condition

and whats the difference between the ghosthand and shengshou cubes other than price?

Planning on doing some 4x4 (my OLD mefferts broke in a cool accident with my friend:() Wondering what one is good, I am a precise turner.
From what I hear Shengshou is sort of like Maru 4x4 (Chrispy clicky) and the MF8+dayan is like a F2 (Smooth and swishy?)

I am not going to get a X Cube.

The Ghost Hand II will most definitely lock up on you if you get locks on the F-II. The Alpha V will probably not lock up as much because it's more crispy, and if it does, then yes, you can do the memory mod on the corners, which is pretty easy (just a pain to do in my opinion).

Ghost Hand and ShengShou 2x2x2s are the same, Ghost Hand is just a repackaged version of the ShengShou. But they're the exact same cube.

And I've never had a problem with my LanLan 2x2x2 breaking. I don't really maintenance it regularly, either.

DaYan+MF8 has crispier outer layers, but smoother inners. I can't really compare it to a specific 3x3x3, though, although I guess it's somewhat similar to the F-II. ShengShou is better than the Maru in my opinion because it's faster and the inner layers aren't quite so stiff, but when it pops, it explodes. My favourite 4x4x4 is the DaYan+MF8 (I have the Maru and Mini QJ as well, and have tried the ShengShou at various cube meets), and you shouldn't have a problem with pops since you're a precise turner.

Is X-cube 4 the best there is? I need a nice corner-cutter and nice turning speed will that suffice? And also, what is the best Square-1? I've heard nothing but good things about MF8. Should I go with that?

Yeah, the MF8 is really good. Or, I've heard great things about the ball core MF8 square-1. (it can be found at HKNowStore and SpeedCubeShop)

Yuu can also get the MF8 ball core sq-1 on lightake, and past a little inner sanding, the cube goes great, the 'cornercutting' is great to be a sq-1 and still can be felt at tight tension.

You'll find that Shengshou 2x2s and Ghosthand 2x2s aren't exactly the same cube. I have bought several of both.

Ghost hand 2x2s have smooth, normal stickers, whereas Shengshou's come with kinda gross (in my opinion) textured stickers.

Ghost hand 2x2s also come somewhat looser and easier to deal with right out of the box.
