Any recommendations for a budget 6x6 and/or 7x7?

For 6 and 7, don't buy budget options first. The Spark is the best for 7x7, I'm not sure about 6x6

Got 6x6, get the most expensive YJ you can afford, whether that's the Yushi or the MGC. The MGC is the absolute best. Get out if you can.

For 7x7, get the Yufu v2m. It's by far the best 7x7 that's not the Spark.

Agreed, YJ has been killing it with their Yu___ v2 line big cubes, as well as MGC big cubes. I think it could be worth waiting for the MGC 7x7, especially considering how good the 6x6 was. If it scales up to 7x7 anywhere near as well as the shadow to the spark did then it would easily blow the spark out of the water.

How good is the mini valk? I am getting one from a friend, and am going to magnetise it. I am also getting a MS 3x3 and a YLM squan. Is the ylm squan better than the volt v1 (my current main), because i personally dont like the volt v2 that much, the magnets are kind of overpowering.

Not nearly as good as the original valk. I have big hands but even people with small hands say its not viable for OH solving. The YLM is better than the Volt v1, but there is only 1 problem with it, you have to mod it to make it as good as the volt v2. It also doesn't come with magnets in the edges but the spare magnets from either model of the Galaxy v2 fit inside the edges, just make sure the polarity is correct because its impossible to get the magnet out of the edge once you put it in.

It is pretty hard to get them out but definitely not impossible.

It's just an XS. Literally, that's it. Just an XS with different magnets. Nothing else, like at all. If you have the XS (or pretty much any post SM cube) then it's not worth it.

I don't know what's up with Gan but all their post SM cubes seem to be almost the same thing with different prices IMO

I personally don't think that GAN cubes are worth it at all. Unless you absolutely hate the feel of other cubes, I would recommend the WRm or the Valk Elite since they have objectively better performance. But if you are absolutely set on getting a GAN cube and are completely uninterested in any other cube out there, then yes, it's worth the 14 dollars. But if you want my best advice, the Valk 3 M (the first one) is the best cube you can get for the price, not to mention it also fits many turning styles.

I really like the GTS2M, which has a reasonable price tag, and performs amazing. A Little Magic M or Meilong M from one of the premium companies out there would also be great.

MGC is a decent cube, quite customisable. GTS2M is a solid cube overall, and the Tengyun is known for being really fast, really quiet, and having really weak magnets.
