The new MeiLong 5 has been for sale for a few months now. MoYu just calls it the MeiLong 5, since it replaces the old version. It's a very good cube, I magnetized mine and it's now my main. There are probably still old versions of the MeiLong 5 floating around so if you wanna make sure you get a new one, you might as well head over to moyustore and order it there. The new magnetic series is there too, and the price is absolutely lovely.
Meilong 5x5 M, YJ MGC 5X5, QiYi MS 5x5, Yuxin Little Magic M 5x5, how do they rank? Which one is the best?

Hey, I am going to buy a Gan x v2. I like everything about it but I’m skeptical about the frosted plastic. I have a Gan 251, and i don’t really like the surface. Is there any way I can polish The surface and make it more grippy?

Which of these feel most like the Valk: YJ Moyu Sulong, MF3, YJ Guanglong, Sengso Legend, YongJun Guanlong V2, MF3RS, or Yuxin Little Magic?

wut is the ms
The MS is a whole lot of budget speedcubes that the brand QiYi released recently. There is a 2x2 3x3 4x4 5x5 6x6 and a Pyraminx till now. They are fairly good speedcubes for beginners and are very cheap! Also recommended by WCA in the budget cubes section, this cube performs pretty well for its price. Like, the price suits it performance. Pretty medium strength magnets and standard sized cubes. Good if you are just starting out with cubing.

Also are some budget cubes that you might like. These are particularly the ones I too look forward to and may not be the best for you.

YuXin Kylin V2 M
YuXin Kirin Black V3M
YuXin Little Magic Elite M
MF3RS3 Elite M
MF3RS3
Shengshou Mr. M
Thunderclap V1
Thunderclap V2
YuLong V2M
YJ Guanlong+
QiYi MS Magnetic 3x3

Get the MS, it is magnetic, feels a bit like a Valk, is modern, and is only a few more dollars
Yes, get the qiyi ms instead of what you have mentioned. You may refer to my WCA Speed Cubes Recommendation List below.

I want to start learning 4x4. I average 2:30 right now with a method I intuitively figured out which is essentially an inefficient form of reduction. I purchased a yuxin little magic 4x4m a few months back and it feels very heavy and sluggish to me. I main a YLM for 3x3 and also bought a magnetic ylm 5x5 which I think is amazingly and turns great, its more than enough quality for someone of my skill level. The 4x4 is noticibelly less enjoyable to solve with compared to the other ylms.

Can anyone's offer comparisons to other budget or midrange 4x4 that would be a good option for a 4x4 noob like me? The ms?
