the meilong m is in my opinion the best 4x4 just because of its small size, and fluid turning, but dont put too strong of magnets in it. 5x1 n35 is way too strong.
Do you mean that 5*1 n35 magnets in the inner layer will be too strong for the meilong 4x4? Will 3*2 n35 magnets work well in the inner layer?

4*1 n35 ≤ 3*1.5 n35 < 3*2 n35 < 5*1 n35 < 4*1.5 n35

4x1 N35 on the inners and 4x2 N35 on the outers for me. Works great.
Will 4*1 n35 be a bit weak? Are the inner layer magnets weaker than the outer layer magnets? Would you recommend using slightly stronger magnets in the inner layer like 3*2 n35?

Seconded. I put 4x1,5 N35 in the middle layer and it's too strong. So I bought another MeiLong to do it the right way.
What magnets are you going to use?

No, it's not a bit weak. No, the inner are not weaker. No, I would not recommend anything stronger on the inner. Like I said, what I recommended works great.

Hey everyone, just started cubing 3 days ago and my pb is 3 min 45 sec... should I improve my begginers method and memorize algs? Or move onto Roux or CFOP, and if you say move, tell me which one...
Also my Rubik’s cube is really bad and looking to upgrade for 20 on cubezz. I have been looking at the Valk 3M, GAN 356 M, YJ yuolong v2, MF3RS2 M... please suggest any other cubes or tell which one to get... thanks
'Id learn CFOP and some basic F2l and then get your hands on a decent cube, probably a little magic or a mf3rs2 or Yj Yulong or Yuxin Kylin. I don't think its worth it getting an expensive cube at your level, as you don't know for certain if your will continue. if you do get say a GAN x or Valk though, it will last you many years and you will not need to upgrade in a long time.

I agree. As a beginner cuber, I don't think the slight variations in performance between cubes will make much of a difference in a beginner's progression. By the time one has progressed to the stage where an upgrade in hardware is required, many new cubes may have arrived into the market, by which case these suggestions may get slightly outdated.

Ok, I was just thinking that maybe something more expensive will help me learn faster, guess that’s wrong, I did not know that in the cubing world $15 was considered expensive, thanks for letting me know, peace
15 isn’t too much, it’s that beginner cubers should get more cheaper puzzles. That’s all (a lot of budget puzzles can be REALLY good).

I was thinking to maybe get the YJ yuolong v2m because it’s only $7 on cubezz
Yes, you should. I'd recommend getting a 2x2 too because drilling algs on it is extremely enjoyable. it also doesn't take as long to solve or scramble, so when you're. tired of reading 3x3 scrambles, you can switch to 2x2. if you do, id get the YJ Yupo. DO NOT GET THE QIYI QIDI S!!!!!!!!

That YJ yuolong V2 or the Valk 3 or the MS3RF3 or the Little Magic... Ahhh, I can’t decide

I know the feeling. when I got my first Speedcube, a Moyu weilong gts2m, it took me many many days to decide, although now I can see I should have probably gotten something else, as it doesn't really suit me. This is especially the case when you are a new cuber, because all the terms just don't make much sense, and don't really know what would suit you best. When I got my GAN 356 X the other day, I pretty much had a heart attack at how awesome it was! I personally recommend going for a cube with magnets because it will help you a lot and make the cube much more stable. For example, when I put My GAN 356 X on the magnet-less option, it was absolutely treble, overshooting with every turn.

Ye, a 2x2 might be nice

Valk 3 m or EDM? I like smooth fast cubes or I might just get the mgc, thanks!
