I was a big Valk fan for a long time, and magnetised one myself... bought an off-the-shelf GTS2M, and LL is smoother than the Valk, although the cube in general is less controllable.

Both are great cubes - I'm a little bit faster with the GTS2M. I'd be interested to try the Gans Air UM... may buy an Ultimate and some more magnets!!! :)

there is no such thing as a best 3x3

Not a good idea, the pieces are glued together.
I guess, Master then? Spent the last half hour looking at the range and trying to decide which is best to magnetise. I like half bright stickers, and TBH haven't restickered a cube in about 4 years because... well stickerless FTW, so I'd avoid the basic model. I've looked at the polls on the forum and most people seem to use yellow GES nuts, so Master... plus magnets... = awesome. I suppose this would be a GAN 356 Air MM?!?!?!?

No 3x3 is inherently the best. At this point, you really can't go wrong with any modern speedcube.

Personally, I use the GTS2 M, but it's definitely not as good as it was out of the box after doing 1500+ solves. Still better than any other cube I have (at least for me personally), but the feeling doesn't last forever.

Hello i am thinking about buying a new cube and i cant decide which one i sould get. I am looking at a cubicle premium Gan Air Or a valk 3, I am looking for a cube that is fast and Controllable.

I would highly recommend the gabs air because it is my main, and if you don't like the speed, you can always change the springs. The shades are very nice and the feeling is very solid, despite it weighing left. I have never in my life gotten any sort of pop with my fans. The magnetic version is the best thing I have ever felt and I got it from cubicle labs. It gives off a smooth and quiet feel.

Can you be more specific? Give your price range and a little more detail and then I'll be able to give an accurate suggestion. Also, how would you describe your turning style? Just tell me what you're looking for in your new cube. I personally love my Gans 356 Air and with the information you gave so far I can tell you'll like the Gans Air.

Ok, so I am really sick of people asking what kind of cubes should they get.
It seems that I have started the "The XXX Thread" wave at this forum, although some of the threads are pretty useful, the invarible title really annoys me.

anyway, as the tile have said, this thread is for those of you who does not know what cube you should buy or is struggling over choosing from a certain cubes. This thread is for questions, as some of the reviews on the forum may not satisfy your need.

Rules:
1. Please try to look at the previous posts to see if there are other people who are in the same dilemma as yours have already posted or being answered. This could save a lot of space in this thread, and make it easier both for people to answer or ask.
2. Please make sure that you talk about your preferances/choices, or maybe previous experiances that may affect your decision, with as much details as you can. I am really tired of people just posting the exterior of the cube without any descriptions at all at the cube ID thread. Giving as much details as possible will help us to find exactly the "best cube" for you.
3. Make sure you follow the rules, and be as nice as possible. I don't was to see stuffs like "Why would you want XXX? It's the worst cube ever" or "Only people with real mature tastes will like the AV. FIIs are for kids."

Soo, have fun!
you should get the gts 2 it is really nice if you like fast contollable cubes

I think the weipo is even better than the old plastic Dayan (that is up for debate though). If you are deciding between this and the np though, get the weipo for sure, no question.

weilong v1 stickerless or yj guanlong
can someone tell me which is the best?

Those cubes are both quite outdated. If you're set on getting one of those two for some reason, the WeiLong is probably better, but honestly I'd just avoid them both at this point. Instead, I'd recommend looking into the WeiLong GTS2 M, the Valk3 (or Valk3 M), or the Gan356 Air UM or SM. If you want something on the cheaper side, I've heard that the Thunderclap V1 and MF3RS are quite good.

I'm finally deciding to get a new main, and I need to find a cube that best suits what I like.

-no bumpy resistance, even when dry. I need a perfectly smooth cube, even when turning the layer very slowly.
-nothing too light, or too heavy ((anywhere between 75-90 grams is perfect.
-size 55-56mm. I don't like 56.5 or 57.
-I need something tactile, speed doesn't worry me too much, but I do prefer something more controllable ((I have an easier time controlling a guangying than a 356.))
-i can't buy something over 20 dollars.
-noise doesn't bother me.
-nothing too blocky, I can handle very flexible cubes. ((If the lunhui were more flexible, it would be my main in 2017, but the blockiness is a bit too much for me to turn comfortably))

What would be good for me?
