I own a Rubik's cube and I started using it for a few weeks and practicing to solve it without any mess ups (I'm a beginner). I wanted to try ordering the Pyraminx because it looks fun to use. Many people have said it is easier to solve then a regular 3x3 cube, is this true? If so, I wanted to try using it just to play around with!
Pyraminx is very, very easy. It can easily be solved without any algorithms at all - just repeatedly solve one side after another and you'll eventually get it solved. No, that's not fast or efficient but it works :)

I am currently trying to figure out what puzzle I want. In my collection I have the Cubix Tube, Rubik's 3x3, Rubik's 4x4, Shengshou mirror cube and a Megaminx. I have recently got into cubing as you can tell from my small collection. I want a fun to solve yet challenging puzzle. I'm not sure If I want 5x5 and I definitely don't want anything like a mix up cube. haven't solved the Shengshou yet.

So I've been on a hiatus for about 4 years, and looking to get some cubes to practice for a comp sometime this year.
my friend sold me his gans cube (i have no clue which model lol), but from what i've read it might be the cubicle custom one with magnets (slight pull when layers match).
which 4x4 and 5x5 should i get?
4x4 i have right now is the x cube 4, 1:00 avg
5x5 right now is unmodded shengshou, 2:00 avg

i miss the good old days when jigaloo was da **** and maru ruled the world :c

For the 4x4 I would recommend the Wuque 4x4. Best 4x4 on the market right now.

Welcome to the forums!

Dash Lambda's advice is awesome: choose the cube you like best without magnets. Also, you can magnetize a cube with a magnetization kit.

Get square-1. It can be really challenging in the beginning but I really like solving it! And with pyraminx it's easy to get quite good times.

Try the Gan 356 U or the Valk M, they are the best magnetic cubes, though they cost so much. If you are on a budget, the MoYu Weilong GTS Magnetic is a solid option. Dash Lambda's advice is also good: choose the one you like best without magnets.
gts m and valk m is the same price, gan air um is a bit cheaper.

Recommendations for a Pyraminx? I had the Moyu Magnetic Pyraminx and hated it. Felt like it would fall apart just by looking at it and the tips practically turned themselves. I prefer a slower, more controlled, stable puzzle (Aolong V2 in 3x3, for example).

And are there any 4x4/master Pyraminx options besides the Shengshou and Meffert?

Have you tried the MoYu or QiYi standard (ball bearing) pyraminxes? Those would be considered top of the line outside of the magnetic ones.

I have the standard MoYu pyra. I solve it casually every now and then and I like it a lot.

My friend's mf4s has almost no reverse cornercutting, which can lead to pops. I'd try and get a yuxin blue, as it's not too expensive, and can react well to a good setup.
For a tight budget I would consider de CB G4. After some dozens of solves to break it in it's great for the price. The Kungfu Cangfeng if also great for the price if you prefer 62mm size

As already stated, it is easy. If you buy a pyraminx from amazon, however, it will most likely be a QJ or a shengshou, which you can NOT get fast at all with. For the future's sake, I would recommend a cheap, but pretty good pyraminx. I'll give you a link to it on the cubicle's store. Its the QiYi pyraminx, and its sooo fast and smooth I love solving it. Enjoy!

Sorry if you have already got one but I would definitely recommend getting it from zcube.hk just because cubes go down significantly the more you buy mf3rs is £4.08 for 1 but £5.60 for 4 excluding shipping

To avoid double posting- what's the best skewb
What would be the best 2x2 to give away? I want to buy several to give away to people who want to try to learn. Would this cube be good? https://thecubicle.us/guanpo-p-5715.html I need something on the cheaper side.

Recommendations for bigger 4x4 and 5x5 cubes? Like in the 68-75mm size range? I'm not a fast solver so it doesn't have to be GREAT but it does need to be pretty good. I've got a Qiyi Big Sail 3x3 that I like, if that helps.
