No, only stickerless. Trust me, it's good for Speedsolving. The color recognition is fine on the sculpted. I just think the black cube with my color scheme looks cool. My recommendation is get the Lux set. It comes with one face of black so you can use that instead of another color that you might not like. The current world record was set with a stickerless sculpted galaxy megaminx. And the grip is excellent.

The Yuexiao is in its own class IMO. It is good but The Valk is better, though.

Okay. I prefer black cubes, but if the sculpted version is better, I will buy it. Thank you for the advice.

So the Valk has better corner cutting, less catching and higher turning speed than the Yuexiao?

I'll have to get a YueXiao.
I doubt it'll dethrone my Air, but now I'm curious how it feels.

You'll be glad you did.

You will also be glad you did. And yes, kinda. Better corner cutting, less catching. However, the white plastic Yuexiao is the fastest turning of any cube I've felt. Faster than the Valk. Faster than my other Yuexiao's. Faster than my wife's Weilong GTS (also white). But for me, I get faster averages on the Valk because of how well it handles. I hope this answers your question.

Get both and find out for yourself. ;)

Hey, I'm thinking about learning squan.

People say the QiYi squan is good. But I've also heard the Cubicle squan is really good, too, after all the modding they've done to a QiYi squan.
Is the Cubicle squan really all it's cracked up to be? What's the best squan for someone who has inaccurate turning?

You'll be glad you did.

Thanks. I will get the sculpted version. I don't think I will get other 3x3's at the moment because my Gan 356 Air doesn't appear to be limiting my solving ability and my order price would become extremely high. I think the others need more attention to the hardware (2x2 and 4x4 is a shengshou, 5x5 is a rubik's.)

Thank you for all the helpful advice you gave me today! I appreciate everything you said. :)

Then you sure can do something with the hardware for those other events. Ask again whenever you like, I'm not going to give you any unsolicited advice, but c'mon! Throw that Rubik's 5x5 away and get something actually speed solvable [emoji1]

I'm going to get a new 2x2, 4x4, 5x5 and get a skewb and megaminx, which I don't have.

I think I only solved the 5x5 about three times. I would like to especially solve 5x5 a lot more.

The QiYi Wushuang 5x5 is the cube that actually made me want to speedsolve 5x5, it's just so good.

Im going to get a 3x3 but not sure what to get.
Wants:
Stable
Corner cutting infinite (yuexiao) to near infinite (aolong)
Won't pop
Sandy smooth or bumpy and smooth feel
Under $10
Semi-fast speed
Prefered:
Squared off corners
Performs decent out of the box
Doesn't feel hollow

Valk 3 checks off everything in your list except price. Thunderclap 1 checks off everything except squared off corners, but it is a pain to set up right and the feel is not for everyone.

I'm looking for a 4x4. I am sub-35 on 3x3 with CFOP, I would like to have a cube that has smooth turning and is good out of the box, I don't have much lube, and where I live shipping is terrible, so something I only need to tension.

The only 4x4 I have owned that was usable out of the box was a YJ Guansu. It's very stable, smooth, and fast. The downside is that it is very blocky which led to constant catching for me.

All the "good" 4x4's I have owned were only really good after teardown, careful lubing, and ton of breaking in.

The Kungfu Canfeng is quite good out of the box. I just had to tighten it a bit to avoid popping. It's quite cheap as well. Another option would be the new Qiyi WuQue but I'm still waiting for mine so I'm talking about what I've heard here. If you want a mini (60mm) the CB G4 is very nice, if you are willing to break it in for some dozens of solves as it's quite bad out of the box (catchy inner layers) but once broken in it's very good without lubing it.

i love my aolong but the problem is i cant relly on it that much. Interms of its always pop (not really always but it does) i dont care about its corner twist . What i dont like is it randomly pop. on some place it could have been worse (im on a public place)
Wanna ask if there is a cube that has the same aolong feel but with a anti pop syatem. I bought a valk 3 and the gans 356s v2 i try to replace my aolong with this 2 cube but im still longing for that aolong feel and still end up using my aolong. I need help. Any suggestion aolong v3?

Hello guys, my main is a Meiying and I would like to buy 2 new 3x3s. I love my Meiying but I'd like some newer cubes and if possible faster turning. I haven't been into cubing since Yuexiao came out, which was really hyped. Are there better alternatives now?

So, what I'm looking for is two 3x3s that check:
-Very very fast turning
-Stable
-No Lock-ups, no corner twists, corner cutting as much as possible
-Stickerless
-Nice M slices for Roux

Currently, the most popular ones are the Gans Air, Valk 3, and Weilong GTS.
I'll go through each of your checkboxes...
-Fast: The Gans Air is the fastest by far. The GTS and Valk are similar to each other but I've found that the GTS is marginally faster.
-Stable: Again, the Air is the most stable, I think mostly due to the short travel on the GES springs. The Valk is more stable than the GTS, the latter being very flexy.
-Lockups: This one depends on your turning style, but I've found the GTS to be the most forgiving, with the Valk very close. The Air catches a lot unless you adapt your turning style.
-Corner Twists: That's not really a thing anymore. Most modern cubes just don't.
-Corner Cutting: All three can full cut if you set them up right, but the Air is a bit more finicky with that than the GTS or Valk.
-Stickerless: The GTS and Air have caps, so of the three, only the Valk is available in stickerless.
-M Slices: The GTS has the most forgiving and best flowing M slices, the Air has the fastest ones, and the Valk's are... Well, they're good, but there's not really much to say.

There's also the Thunderclap which still has a sizable following, but I don't have it to compare. The Cubicle Labs magnetic cubes might also be worth looking into.

I suggest you check out more detailed reviews, because at this point the performance is so consistent between cubes that it's all a matter of personal preference.

When i try to tighten it its so tight it will become so hard to turn. I already lube it. But ill try again

well technically, the aolong Gt is the Aolong v3, but it is considerably faster, smoother, and heavier. Although, it still has the same bumpiness.

if you want a similar cube, I suggest a yuxin, tornado, or thunderclap.

I think the thunderclap should be pretty good. But the aolong shouldnt pop anyway, i have one and it has only popped once because of my rough turning.
