The aolong is unstable for OH according to some, and the fangshi shuangren isn't that good, also according to some (even though I liked the feeling out of the box), so I think I'm down to the mini weilong and 55mm zhanchi.
I tried a normal weilong and it felt like a yuxin fire; blocky, slow, clacky, and makes a 'clack clack' sound when turning, which I don't like at all. Not sure if the mini weilong/normal weilong is the same as the on I tried though. Btw my definition of 'fast' is hualong.
Is the 55mm zhanchi better than the mini weilong? I have never felt it before. How is the feeling like? Blocky? Crunchy? What cube is it most alike to? How's the speed? Which cube's speed does it resemmble? What are the problems? Example: corner twist, frequent pops, stickers peeling, etc.
EDIT: Nvm, I accidentally bought a mini aolong thinking it was a mini weilong at a local store.

Which is better-
Aolong gt
Tanglong
I currently have a gans 356 as my main and want a cube with a similar feeling.

I don't have the Aolong GT or the Tanglong, but is there anything you don't like about the 356 specifically? It might help you decide which one would be a better fit.

So, 3x3 with smooth, crisp and fat turning. Not too bothered about corner cutting though some give for <M U> would be nice. Fast M slices as well please and with regards to tensioning I don't really mind the set up and can work with very loose tensions. Preferably cheap but I don't really mind. The problem I have is that one of the internals is broken on my Gans 357 though I like that cube a lot.

Any suggestions?

Thanks :)

I have heard that the Cyclone Boys G4 is supposed to be amazing once it's broken in, I actually just recently ordered one so I guess I'll find out.

That's my main and people are surprised how good it is. It's like a snappier, crunchier Mini AoSu. The difference between how horrible it is out of the box and how good it is after two weeks of breaking in shocking.

Best 5x5 (fastest)

I know the Yuxin is regarded as better, but which 5x5 wins in pure stability?

Fast and stable can be two different things, so your title and post are slightly contradictory.
For pure stability, definitely definitely Yuxin.
For speed, possibly one of the Moyu's, although Yuxin might be in contention.

That's nice to know. :D
Somewhere on the forums I saw somebody describe it as "what the mini Aosu was supposed to be". The best part in my mind is it's supposedly unpoppable, which would be great because I'm tired of the small internal wings popping out of my mini Aosu :P

The cyclone boys is very cheap and extremely fast. It doesn't pop, but there is a noticeable difference between the inner and outer layers. Both are fast, but the outers even more so. For stability, go with the yuxin. It never pops and the layers stay aligned. Both the inner and outer layers are fast, and it's cheap but not as cheap as the cyclone boys. I don't have either moyu 5x5 so I can't comment on them

Beginner cube suggestions?

So my friend just got into cubing, he averages around 1:40, any cubes that would suit him? He like corner cutting, no lock ups and smoothness in general. Thanks

Help deciding which 3x3 to buy

I realize that this question has probably been asked and asked over and over but it seems like the cube market is changing and new cubes are coming out all the time.

I recently got into cubing so I am a beginner using the beginners method. This doesn't mean that I want a "beginners cube" Its fine if the cube that I buy is not the best for new solvers as I plan to improve a lot and I don't want to need to buy another cube when I am faster. Money is also not an issue, I really don't mind spending 5$ more if it is going to get me a bit better cube.

I first was thinking of a dayan zhanchi because I had the idea that it was basically one of the best, but I realized that there are many newer cubes that are better in many ways.

Since I'm not an experienced cuber and have only used 1 cube I don't currently have any preferences other than loudness, general build quality, and whatever other factors make a well rounded cube that is capable of speed solving.

I was thinking of the aolong v2 since I read some reviews and people seem to like it, then I saw that the aolong gt is out. I watched a review on that and they basically said that is wasn't like the aolong v2. The Gans 356 seems like a quality cube and the review from CrazyBadCuber was good but others said it has a problem with locking up. Then I noticed that the CrazyBadCuber switched from the 356 to a MoYu hualong and looked into that.

TL;DR I'm confused on what to buy and need help.
