My current main is a weilong v2. I really like the quick, smooth feeling. Would the Hualong offer something close? If not, what are some other options

Lanlan Super Floppy?
Dayan Vertex Turning Octahedron?
MoZhi Pyramorphix (not Mastermorphix)?
Moyu Crazy Fisher Cube?
Trajber's Octahedron?
YJ Wheel Cube?
MF8 2x3x4?
Shengshou 2x2 Mirror Blocks?
YJ Axis Cube?
Lanlan Rhombic Dodecahedron Skewb?
Lanlan Super SQ1?
Tell me pliss I'm so conflicted ;-;

Hey buddy, you kinda shotgunned the thread for opinions on about a dozen different "alternative" puzzles. That's probably why no one responded to you. Please don't take it personally.

Most of the questions here concern the puzzles that are approved for WCA competition. The heavy emphasis is on What 3x3 Is Right For Me?

People will (or should) post what they like and what they don't like in a cube and the experts here tell you what they think will be the perfect match for a long and happy marriage until Moyu signs another designer and releases another damned 3x3.

You can get help here for a 2x2 all the way to a 7x7. Same with some of the more popular alternative shape puzzles.

But you asked for knowledge about a lot of rather obscure critters out there. I don't think a single one of the experts here could answer your question in its entirety, so no one did.

When it comes to the more obscure puzzles out there, I've found it helpful to see if The Cubicle has any reviews from buyers. Aside from that, I'd try Google.

Also, try to ask about no more than 2-3 puzzles in each message, that'll increase the likelihood that someone will get back to you.

Guangying is significantly lighter than hualong

I heard lots of people say the HuaLong was a light cube but that wasn't the case, I and was disappointed, my weilong felt lighter. I just want to confirm again . really like light fast cubes. I'm currently looking at guanying and meiying.

Oh yes, guangying is lightest cube I've ever felt, I'm not sure why people would say that the haulong is light . meiying is up there though, and probably a little more stable than guangying. But guangying is probably a little faster as a tradeoff

Easy. Get them all. Once you start collecting non-WCA puzzles you cannot stop :)

From your list I only own a couple but I know more than half of them. All of them are fun in one way or another yo, if you put your eyes on them I'm sure it's for a reason, so I'd go on and buy them all, even if I have to go one or two at a time (because of budget issues). I could also recommend another dozen more if you want, like WitEden 3x3x9 and 3x3x7 (there are many variants) and all the "mixup" ones (Oskar's 3x3x3 mixup, 4x4x4 mixup...). These are a lot of fun because they can exchange centers with edges by rotating just 45º. Also the rhombic dodecaedron shapemods are fun, as well as other dodecahedron variants like helicopter's, etc. Well, there are people with collections of more than 500 twisty puzzles out there so be careful ;-)

Imo you should stick to your guhong for now. You can improve a lot just with practice. Getting a better 3x3 won't affect your times that much at your speed.

Don't change your 4x4. The aosu is one of the best on the market.

For your rubiks 2x2 and 5x5. I suggest that you change it because they suck.

For 5x5 get cyclone boys or yuxin . Take your pick.

And for 2x2 probably Dayan or moyu.

when should i change my dayan ?
You can change it at any time. Just do not expect massive changes in your times. If you really want a newer cube, probably get one of these:

-Aolong V2
Good all around cube
Has a smooth but clicky feel
-Hualong
Has a nice crunchy feel.
It is very fast and a little flexible
-Gans 356
Very smooth and has exceptional Corner cutting
It catches sometimes
-Cong's design Meiying
It has a nice crunchy feel
Quite stable

All of these cubes have exceptional corner cutting and do not pop.
I have all of these and my main is the Aolong v2 but it is all up to personal preference.

Apart from all the advice you have already received:
- For 2x2 I would consider the Cyclone Boys stickerless. It's just great for the price.
- For 3x3 almost any new cube will be great, it all depends on personal taste. If you describe how you would like it to feel maybe we can point you to the closest match amongst all the choices now in the market.

I have a MeiYing and it is not unstable at all.

The Thunderclap is fairly loud, and has a crunchy feel, whereas the Hualong has a bit louder sound to it, and is very clicky. Hualong has better corner-cutting

I like loud crunchy and smooth cubes that sound clacky like a weilong :3 is the thunderclap right for me?

Hey guys, I just got back into cubing after taking a ~1.5 year break and I would like to know what the standard speedcubes are nowadays, specifically for the 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 and 7x7. If someone could give me a couple of names of the best cubes for each puzzle I would hugely appreciate it.

3x3-Any Moyu cube is really good.
4x4-Moyu or Cyclone boys g4
5x5-Moyu, Cyclone boys, or Yuxin
6x6-Moyu or Shengshou
7x7-Moyu Cubic Aofu or mini shengshou

3x3: AoLong v2, HuaLong, Gans 356 (but apparently all current 3x3s are nice, like WeiLong, FangShi JieYun, Cong's Design MeiYing, Yuxin for low budget, etc.)
4x4: AoSu, Yuxin
5x5: HuaChuang, Cyclone Boys (the new Yuxin 5x5 is said to be very nice though)
6x6: AoShi
7x7: (cubic) AoFu
