3x3: AoLong v2, HuaLong, Gans 356 (but apparently all current 3x3s are nice, like WeiLong, FangShi JieYun, Cong's Design MeiYing, Yuxin for low budget, etc.)
4x4: AoSu, Yuxin
5x5: HuaChuang, Cyclone Boys (the new Yuxin 5x5 is said to be very nice though)
6x6: AoShi
7x7: (cubic) AoFu

3x3-Any Moyu cube is really good.
4x4-Moyu or Cyclone boys g4
5x5-Moyu, Cyclone boys, or Yuxin
6x6-Moyu or Shengshou
7x7-Moyu Cubic Aofu or mini shengshou

Cheers guys!

No problem lol, if you haven't noticed, Moyu's kinda stole the spotlight in most cubes.

Yeah, but Yuxin, Cyclone Boys and QiYi are retaliating as of late and maybe they don't have the best cubes but they have darn good value for money propositions in everything from 2x2 up to 5x5. I mea between the 3 of them, not that all three have good cubes from 2x2 up to 5x5, I was mainly thinking of:
CB 2x2
QiYi Thunderclap 3x3 and Yuxin 3x3
CB (G4) and Yuxin 4x4 (QiYi Sail not that good, I guess)
CB and Yuxin 5x5

If you count also YJ then you have also some additional contenders to 3x3 and 4x4.

CB 2x2
QiYi Thunderclap 3x3 and Yuxin 3x3
CB (G4) and Yuxin 4x4
CB and Yuxin 5x5
.

This is a good list you made. There's nothing wrong with any of these cubes and I would recommend them for anyone wanted good cubes, not just cheap cubes. The quality and overall performance of them if very nice, especially the Yuxin 5x5. Got my PB right out of the box with mine.

Exactly. It's not good that Moyu (or any other) has the monopoly of good cubes because then they don't have any incentive to drop the prices. Who would have thought less than a year ago that you could buy an excelent 4x4 or 5x5 for less than $10.

I'm using an '81 Rubiks cube (took it apart, scraped with a knife & waxed so it works much better), have ordered a Mugua and am curious if this spring speed magic cube is worth getting, or would soon fall apart?

It looks like a yj guanlong. If it is a guanlong, then yes it is worth getting. You can never have too many of them. It is targeted at beginners, but good for everyone. However, it does look a bit sketchy and they could be selling something else.

My dayan guhong niw very loves to lock up .-. What cube is rarely lock up and fast turning ? Oh and also i often spin out D when performing U so that slows me down :(

Stable cube is good

Stable cube is good

Hold the cube better to prevent layer slip ups, happens to me as well, it's just the way I hold the cube and if could be the same reason for you

They're the same cube, but C4S is probably wayyyyy more reliable than lightake.

I wouldn't say 'more reliable', because I have bought a countless number of cubes from lightake, and they are very reliable, however the shipping is slow (10 days least) and C4S is very fast shipping.

Deciding on 4x4

Hi, recently my Moyu Aosu started getting some bad lock ups that resulted in it unable to turn some faces so I took it apart and found that one of the pieces on the axis has broke and will not stay in place. So now im in search of a new 4x4 to get and I've been deciding on getting a Yuxin 4x4 or another Moyu Aosu. Which one should I get? or should I just wait for something possibly better to come out? I'm pretty into 4x4 too. Thanks!

I think at this time there's no point in waiting for a better cube for 3x3, 4x4 or 5x5. Because there are enough options that it doesn't really make sense to wait.

For 4x4 you could give the CB G4, Yuxin, Mini Aosu, or give the 62mm Aosu a try. If price isn't a factor I would try to get multiple ones and see which one you like. Honestly they all feel different.

I really love the yuxin and I've heard the CB is good with setting up but the mini aosu is slow. So I think yuxin but you really will be happy with any of the 4x4's out today
