Do you still use the weilong? I saw your new 9.6 (i think) ao 10 and I cant tell. What is the paper/lube/whiteout trick for center caps anyway? I might be getting a weilong.

Cut a square piece of paper thats the same size as the center cap, and place the paper between the center cap and the center piece. Then push the center cap back on and it should stay on well. Works even better if you use the glossy magazine paper.

What is a cheap but still "okay" 3x3 and where can I buy them?

I'm planning to use them for MBLD so they don't need to be top tier but they still need to be functioning properly and not pop and lock up too much...

And I need around 25 of them to start with so they need to be as cheap as possible also...

Yeah, everybody is talking about the GuanLong. So, as soon as you get yours, could you post some first impressions here or even do a preview video? I'm interested as well, not for MBLD (yet) but to give as presents to children to get them into speedcubing.

Also, @tseitsei, the SuLong is quite decent and it does not cost a lot more than the GuanLong (just 90 cents more also in Cubezz.com). Ofcourse, 90 cents x 25 is quite a lot but just in case the GuanLong ends up not being your cup of tea.

I want to get into more puzzles. Im looking at 2x2, 5x5, and megamnx. Im getting a dayan 2x2, but i cant decide for 5x5 and megaminx. Ive heard the ss 5x5 is good but locky, and the aochang pops. Megaminx: dayan or shengshou?

Got in to Megaminx again... what's the right one for me?

Hey guys..

well at first I have to explain a little bit:
I quit cubing a while ago and before that I practiced megaminx quite often, my average was about 1:15-1:20.. the I got a girlfriend and.. yeah, you know what I mean :D

I have an mf8 megaminx type 2, which I don't like to much (also lost a piece a few weeks ago :p), a QJ V1, which is really bad and my main, a QJ V2 with mf8 tiles on it..
I like it pretty much and my current average is about 1:25-1:30, which is pretty good, if you take into consideration that i quit for a year..

but now I wanted to start cubing again (and no.. I didn't lose my girlfriend, we're still together :D) and I want a new megaminx, because my QJ V2 is pretty old now and doesn't feel good any more, because I've done so many solves with it..

Now I can't decide wether to get a dayan (with or without ridges, i don't know) or a Shengshou..

which one fits better?
and for me, used to have mf8 tiles on the minx, would ridges make a difference? or would it be better for me to go without them? obviously only, if the dayan is better..

i hope you understand my problem and can help me :)

and i'm sorry if my english isn't the best.. as you can tell, I'm german :D

2x2 Cube Recommendations

I own a 3x3 Dayan Zhanchi and can get a minute. I was wondering what 2x2 I should get. I am deciding between the Zhanchi 2x2, Wittwo type C, and MoYu LingPo, but I do not want the cube to be too slow, easy to pop, and not too quiet. Which one should I get and why?

Lingpo: really fast, scratchy/sandy feel, a little locky at times at high speeds
Wittwo: pretty fast, scratchy like the lingpo, but a little more locky and a slightly more aggressive scratchy feel
dayan: pretty fast, smooth feel, doesn't lock up much
