Hi,

I've got a mini DianSheng and a mini Alpha. Both really nice cubes, but they're too small to seriously compete with my other cubes. I can post some pics of them if you like?

Btw. you might get scolded for creating a thread just for this :(

Regards,

H.

alpha cc ( for OH )

A mini CC would be fun ;)

Sorry but mini cubes are horrible. The smallest cube I use is a Linyun.

Agreed. They just feel 'icky'.

I must say however that they are actually pretty nice for OH. I borrowed someone's diansheng for a few days and my times were about the same, if not better. However they have this horribly 'small' feel which i just don't like.

And not very good for middle layer action. Anti Roux cubes.

Do you Roux OH btw?

My mom is allowing me to get 1 new cube and I want something that won't get old fast.
I don't really have any original cubes right now, so don't think, "He probably has that."
Suggestions? Thanks.

Lubix Guhong v2 vs. Lubix Zhanchi

I am planning on getting a new main but can't decide which on is the best- the Lubix Ultimate Guhong v2 or the Lubix Ultimate Zhanchi. If you could post what you like about each (and if you have both of them which one you prefer and why) and stuff like speed, corner cutting, control-ability, etc. That would be a great help.

i have both and neither of them had pop so don't worry about pops and corner cutting is` the same so the important thing is the feeling when turning them. Now the zhanchi edge pieces have a protuberance that is another protection for popping but the torpedo are enough and this make a deference on the feeling so the zhanchi feels clickiness and the guhong not much.
so in conclusion there is no much difference, but i think, not sure that i prefer the guhong because its smoother.

Square-1 MF8 v1 vs v2

Hello,

Is Square-1 Mf8 v2 much better than Mf8 v1? What is the difference? I just know that v2 have ball core.

Thank you for answers!

I believe that the V2 is considered better than the V1, but the world records were set with a V1.

And shouldn't this be in the One Answer Question Thread?

I feel like getting a 2x2 cube and a 5x5. I like a smooth cube that won't overshoot, it won't have to cut corners over 10-15 degrees on the 5x5 cubes, but maybe on the 2x2. I also don't want to mod my cubes to make then perform well. For the 2x2x2, I'm thinking of getting a Lubix Wittwo, and I'm thinking of either a V-Cube 5 or a Shengshou 5x5.

For the 2x2, you can save a few dollars and go with the normal Wittwo. The Lubix Wittwo is just a normal Wittwo that's been lubed and tensioned. For the 5x5, if you don't want any modding, get the Shengshou.

Apologies if this is the wrong sub-forum for posting this. I'm looking for a C4U textured tiled cubes, but am having trouble finding a domestic retailer that is not sold-out. C4U US is sold-out and has been for a while. Their China site has them, but I haven't had the best luck with the China site. Any ideas on where else to look? Thanks.

CubeDepot has them (I'm pretty sure this is the one you are looking for).

Yeah, that's it. Not sure how I missed that earlier. Thanks. Not sure that's the textured version, but I know the tiles are replaceable (although I don't see them being sold separately on C4U US site....). Thanks.
