I loosened it a bit . Whenever, I lube my cubes, I only put 2 drops of silicone below an edge and then work it in. I don't think lube was a problem, the tensions were. It is way better and faster now.9
I will still try to find the best cube for me. I like cubes that are fast,smooth/scratchy/clicky like the Aolong(no Fangshi's) and light (cubes feel effortless to turn) NO POPS. My Aolong is heavier than my Chilong, so Chilong is more comfortable, but Aolong is better in terms of performance.

You said before that you just tried someone's Zhanchi at a competition? It popped several times in that period?

If you don't like the weight of the AoLong, you won't like the weight of the WeiLong. The anti-pop set up involves a lot of plastic, so the cube is quite a bit heavier than a zhanchi. Anyway, it's not gonna get much better than the AoLong for effortless turning without pops.

Yes, I did 30 solves on my friend's Zhanchi before my round. I don't know why, but it popped 2 times. I think it was very loose though. However, I liked the weight and speed of the Zhanchi.

As for the Aolong, I am satisfied with it and it is perfect. But I expected it to be a bit faster.I think I should just get a Weilong and Zhanchi to choose my main. As for popping, Weilong is better. I'll use it once I am faster though.

turns reallly really fast

Best budget cube suggestions?

I'm trying to find a nice budget cube (i.e. under 10 bucks) that is (very) durable, but still has potential to be fast (i.e. like a main)

Thanks in advance

The best very cheap cube I've used is the YJ SuLong. Price to quality ratio is very good. It's not as fast as a weilong, but it's pretty fast, and it's very durable. I bought a bunch of them for my students to play with. They do pop sometimes, but the kids are very rough on them. None have broke or anything.

The Algorithmist said in her review that she thought the SuLong had main potential. I feel it's a bit too slow to be my main though (because I have a weilong, aolong, and zhanchi, which are faster).

The best cube under $10 is the YJ YuLong. It's fast, it never pops, it's kind of clicky but has good turning, and overall a great cube. I've only had mine for a few months but it feels very durable to me. The stickers are still in great condition even though I use it a lot (pretty much everyday) and it gets thrown into backpacks and stuff like that on a regular basis. It definitely has main potential.

should i get shengshou megaminx, mf8 v2, or mf8 v3

Personally I feel that MF8 megaminxes are outdated or at least they aren't as good as the newer megaminxes on the market right now. I currently use a Dayan Megaminx with ridges which works pretty well for me. But of the ones you have listed I would go for the ShengShou megaminx. However if you are looking for a cheap but still good megaminx the QJ megaminx is also not a bad option.

Well the Yulong is awesome but other cubes that are in the $10 price range
Moyu Weilong - under $10 on lightake.com right now
Shengshou Aurora
Moyu Liying

I'm not really a big fan of ChiLong, maybe because I've been using a YuLong for so long. But I find the ChiLong somewhat sluggish. I could never quite get mine to turn to my liking and I kind of view the YuLong as the improved version of it anyway. Just my opinion :)
Yulong>Chilong. Definetly. But the Chilong is quite fast after breaking in. For people like me (who like light cubes) the Chilong is fast, almost as fast as a Zhanchi. But the Yulong is better.

I'm having trouble deciding which of the bigger cubes i should get. I don't wanna get a 11x11 because i get the impression that the yuxin is of lower quality than the shengshous. But which one between 8x8-10x10 should i get? Is the 9x9 better because it's an uneven amount of layers or are they all the same?

I have the 10x10-it's only worth getting a bigger cube if you want to display it or show it off, because you might solve it now and then but not often. I personally enjoy having it as a display piece, but it's certainly not for solving frequently.

What Hypocrism said is true. For the most part big cubes are more of a display item than anything else. My big cubes are usually scrambled and I gradually solve them over time. Like if I am working on a paper or a program I might take little breaks here and there and maybe solve a center or two on one of them before putting it back on 'display'. However I'd probably recommend getting a 9x9 because for me it's the most fun to solve. I like my 8x8 but I'm not very fond of even numbered cubes and the 10x10 is just too big for me to turn. The 9x9 is a happy medium and my favorite of the bunch.

Stickerless vs. Sticker

In general I don't care about a specific cube, but I've been confused about one of the best sticker cubes vs. the stickerless ones

I'm sure that you could resolve this by simply ignoring stickerless cubes. Then you just need to find the best sticker cube.

Hope that helps with your confusion...

Tim.
