i must say, after somehow losing a centerpiece cover for my zhanchi and thus picking up and using my guhong v1 after a long time of not solving it. felt pretty crappy to start but once i worked the lube back in, felt AMAZING, sometimes i forget why i stopped using it lol

Well the most cheapest would be ebay... But it would be better if you get one from amazon or something. Amazon would be the next cheapest, and it is reliable. I saw the speedstack timer on amazon and it costs 29.99.

I am looking for a good 4x4, because I have a Rubik's 4x4 right now, and it sucks. It can't even turn unless all the rows are alligned perfectly, and even then it turns very stiffly. Right now I'm averaging about 3 1/2 minutes to 4 minutes a solve, but I know that if I got a better cube my times would drop a TON. I just don't know which one to get.

Shengshou 4x4 is the best 4x4 to get

I'm pretty sure that i want a dayan zhanchi, but what size do i get? I see quite a variety of sizes (57mm, 55mm), also, does these numbers represent the length of the cube across?

I need a good 3x3 that has minimal lock-ups, turns quickly, and can cut corners. The highest price I'm willing to pay is $15. Also, do you recommend any specific sites to buy it from? Is eBay a good site for buying cubes?

I'm also looking for a small 3x3 cube that I can take anywhere. Know any good ones?

any dayan fits that description and pretty sure you can get them for under $15
ebay works i suppose, you can also do thecubicle.us, awesome place to get cubes

@brian724080 - yes it does

best 2 x 2 cube out there. . . If not the best, could you list some of the best.
I'm thinking of a Witwo, but I'm not sure. Price is not an issue.

I've been speedcubing seriously for a few months and I average around 20 seconds. I currently use a ZhanChi, and I think it is an amazing cube. However, it's not for me. I have large hands and I'm kind of clumsy, especially during re-grips. The ZhanChi is kind of "delicate" and with one accidental fault in my grip some side goes flying. I'm also somewhat inaccurate of a turner, so I end up locking up a bit with it. I used to have a GuHong v2, but I don't know if mine was a defect or what, because it was kind of bad. It had a weird feeling that was somehow really smooth yet really clicky, even after some modding, and the corner pieces always caught onto the center pieces. It also popped on me for some reason, although I spent a lot of time tensioning it. So now I'm pretty much looking for a cube that's slower and more controllable but still has decent speed. I would prefer cubes that are somewhat crispy/clicky. Would the LunHui and Type C V be good for me? And if so, which one should I get? Other suggestions are welcome.

Try tightening the cube more.
If that fails, the get a guhong v2, its quite controllable.

I have a $20 prepaid debit card that's really a gift card and $1.35 store credit for puzzle addictions.
What should I buy from this list? dayan megaminx (I have a QJ v2 megaminx already), mini zhanchi (specify which ones), sticker sheets
Should I ask izo if I could get a ss 5x5 through him? it's the only cubic WCA puzzle I don't have yet.

Of course, I'm working on it, it's just that I want to step back to a more controllable cube to help me strengthen my technique and control (I stepped up from a Rubik's brand straight to the ZhanChi).
As my friend told me, it's better to practice with the cube you'll use during competition solves since you'll get used to the cube. I also play tennis and it's the same way with my racquets.

Well, it really depends on what you enjoy doing more. I don't really care for puzzle addictions (I use speedcubing store, amazon, cube depot), but I digress.
I would personally pick the Megaminx stickerless w/raised edges--a MAJOR upgrade from a QJ. But then again, I don't go to competitions yet...
The mini ZhanChi makes for a wonderful pocket cube! :) however, I find that 42mm is just too small to be easily managed so the 50mm would be the way to go. 55mm is basically the 57mm for people with small hands :P
