The zhanchi and guhong v2 are both phenomenal cubes. I prefer the smoothness and fast speed of the Guhong v2 over the zhanchi. I do enjoy my zhanchi though. If you have the zhanchi on a looser tension it is wicked fast. The Gv2 can be just as fast with a good lube and tensioning job. if you were to get a zhanchi and want a Gv2 feel get a 55mm. The 57mm seems faster, though. The 55mm could be just as fast with a proper lube and tensioning job. Hope this helps!

I average 23-25 sec with a non lube and non modded Zhanchi
I am look to buy either a Lubix Zhanchi, Lubix Guhong or a Lubix Guhond V2
Can anyone give me the pros and cons for these cubes

Sure. Let me take a stab at it.

Pros - all of them are premodded, pre lubed, and pretty much pre everything. Great if your lazy. Plus you get the lubix name/quality.

Cons - Price and expectations. Just don't go whining when you're times don't miraculously improve within the first day of solving. Remember it's you not the cube.

You could just mod and lube your own zhanchi and save $15.

You don't really need to mod a Zhanchi (it's fine for people well into the sub 15 range) but there's no excuse for not lubing it yourself. You can get some Maru lube or silicone spray for literally a few dollars, then just spray some in, do a bunch of moves, and wait five minutes.

Never use spray on a dayan, always use regular lube. At least IMHO Dayans work better with lubix/traxxas (ie: fluid) like lubes than with sprays.

I have never used anything other than spray silicone. Have had no problems. I think I will order Traxxas to see what the deal is with oil based lube.

Modding and lubing only takes a couple of hours max, I am +support for doing it on your own.

im not sure about timers
but i think you should get a shengshou 6x6 7x7 and a dayan megaminx

The V2 is has torpedoes and is more like a Zhanchi, meaning that it's a little more crisp but also a little more locky. Once you take the torpedoes out though, it's practically a V1.

I also own all the other dayan's from puzzle addictions, my zhanchi is my main cube with guhong v2 as my OH, I have lubed it and want to get a new cube which will better my zhanchi. I was thinking of the ultimate lubix zhanchi, or the camcuber zhanchi I just don't know what maybe better, or I don't mind spending $100 on the elite lubix zhanchi, though my times maybe decent it is my recognition of f2l which takes me about 30secs on avg. Also I own a mefferts pyraminx and haven't lubed it yet, should I stay with mefferts or get a shengshou.
