The puzzles ottozing just mentioned are the main ones that I would recommend. Also, If you are going to get a 2x2 I strongly suggest a Ghost Hand. Tower cubes are also quite fun to play round with. (I don't personally own one but I have used my friends and it is surprisingly quite fun :))

For the most part, anything other than a type C (wit two) for 2x2 has become obsolete. No one really accepts Ghost Hands, Lan Lans, East Sheens, etc, ever since the Type C.

I want a 3x3 cube which can decrease my times further, more stable, fast, minimum lockups(probably less lockups than lingyunV2), and probably a good cube for a cuber that wants to break the sub20 barrier(which is me :D). i am choosing between getting a Zhanchi or a Guhong V2, need help :) I am currently a Lingyun V2 user

also need help in these puzzles:
2x2: lanlan or eastsheen?
megaminx: qj tiled or qj stickered? why? and the two of those of mf8 tiled?

Out of those two, the LanLan wins hands down. However, the Wittwo is better than both of those, although it's more expensive.

It really depends on your preference. I've only ever used stickered, but I hear the tiles fall off easier than stickers. If you really prefer tiled though, it might be worth it. As for the QJ vs the MF8, it's hard to tell which one's better. I'd recommend just getting whichever one is cheaper, even if it's only 50 cents cheaper.

The mf8 megaminx's that ive used were always a real pain to break in, but the last qj megaminx was great out the box. Not sure if i just got lucky but i would recommend the qj

While a new cube may slightly help your times don't expect multiple seconds improvement because of a new cube. Personally I prefer the Guhong V2 because i find it less locky than the Zhanchi.

The Lingyun V2 shouldn't be locky. It's a little clicky, but if it's lubed (differential oil or lubix) and tensioned, it shouldn't be locky. If you really must try a different cube, the zhanchi and the guhong v2 are both good but that alone isn't going to make you sub-20. If you haven't lubed the Lingyun V2, then buy lube instead.

The LanLan 2x2 is better, but the WitTwo is better (according to most). It reverse corner cuts, and has amazing corner cutting. THe only problem is that it's clicky. Look a little bit more into 2x2s before you make your decision, because I don't think you've done that.

As far as the Megaminx, it's personal preference. The QJ V2, and the MF8 V2 are both good. You should be more specific about what you're looking for in a megaminx. I prefer stickers.

I quite like a little clickiness in 2x2's, because you're less likely to get +2's. And because it's such a short event, that matters much more in 2x2 than say 3x3 or 4x4. But that's personal preference. Everyone likes their cubes different than everyone else; which is why some people will recommend a cube, but others would advise not to get that cube.

Just my 2p. (Before you say anything, I'm in the UK :p)

Yeah, but he didn't like the "locking" in the Lingyun V2. Personally, I really like it. I'd recommend the WitTwo, but if somebody is really apposed to a "clicky" cube, then a Lan Lan or a V-cube might be better.

Lubix Fusion or Ultimate Lubix ZhanChi?

I recently lost my Dayan Zhanchi , so I am going to buy a new one from Lubix. Should i buy a Lubix Fusion or a Ultimate Lubix ZhanChi? I've heard that the fusion is made of a Guhong, is this true? Which one is best?

I'm going to be honest. I have two pre-modded and lubed cubes. A Lubix Ultimate Guhong and a "One-Handed Zhanchi" from thecubicle.us. I find that I prefer cubes that I lube myself with a low-viscosity lube. Any other way, the cube ends up gummy to me.

The Fusion is like the Guhong v2, which has torpedoes, compared to the v1 which doesn't, and is lubed and given an edge-mod. The Ultimate Zhanchi is a Zhanchi that is lubed and given an edge-mod. I have an Ultimate Guhong and a modded Zhanchi. I prefer the Zhanchi.

Get whatever you want, but I prefer the Zhanchi. I also prefer to lubed and mod cubes myself, but that's just me.

Depends on how fast you are. Unless you're sub-25, stick with a Rubik's Brand/FII/basic Dayan/other. Don't go super expensive until you're fast.

However, if you are, then just go with whatever you like. It's the basic argument between Zhanchi and Guhong, just at a higher quality.

wow my magic & master magc came.magic gojia is better than cubetwist and I think its a best magic and master magic gojia is very nice and I guess its a best master magic.guess my dayan 5 have 1 pop in 12 solve.what are you thinking about these?
which magic_master_rubik 3*3 are the best than another?

What other cubes are there to get once your sub-25? I say just get a good cube off the hop.

Best Cube in my opinion
2x2 1)Type C Wit Two
3x3 1)Dayan Guhong 2 2) Dayan Zhanzhi 3) Haiyan Memory
4x4 1) SS 4x4 V3 2) X Cube
5x5 1) SS 5x5
6x6 1) SS 6x6
7x7 1) Vcube 7

I sell cubes so I tested most of them.

Hello,

Looking for a 4x4, I currently have a Shengshou V3 (Konsta's and a sort of Florian's mod) but I don't like it and I want a new cube. I was looking at a Dayan + Mf8 full size (I have big hands and the SS feels too small). I was wondering about opinions on this cube and/or alternatives 4x4s,

Thanks,

The Dayan + Mf8 is probably your best bet. You'll need to relube the core and loosen it up slightly though. Not too much mind, otherwise the core will pop (obviously).
