Wittwo is far superior and has a lovely crispy tactile feel. Lanlan can't cut so much. Wittwo is more controllable and pleasant all around.

Is the Dayan+MF8 4x4 better than the Shengshou V3 4x4? I'm not sure if I could control the wing pops on the former as the only 4x4 I have is the Rubik's one and the wings would sometimes pop. Also, is the X-Cube 4 better than both of them after intensive breaking-in?

if you can afford it, get the shenshou v3 and the dayan+mf8 to see what you prefer. x cube is garbage.

I'm probably not qualified to say much about it, but I have both the Shengshou and the Dayan+MF8. The Latter cost more than twice as much, and out of the box was extremely stiff. I took it apart entirely and lubed it with CRC. In the process I noticed a LOT of stray plastic that needed to be trimmed off the core pieces...just shoddiness I wouldn't expect for that price. I loosened the tensions, and the cube turns much better, but now it pops a lot. Maybe there's a happy medium, but it was such a pain to reassemble I don't want to take it apart and try again...especially since the Shengshou was just fine right from the start.

So would you recommend the Shengshou?

questions on 7x7

I am looking at 7x7 cubes. my question is this: what is the best 7x7 cube.
I have a shengshou 4x4 and 6x6. i also have a v cube 5. i absolutely love my shengshous but my v cube is also amazing. so which is better, the shengshou 7x7 or the v cube 7.
also, when i replace the stickers with cubesmith tiles, is there really a difference between textured and smooth tiles

Depends on how big your hands are. If you have smaller hands go with the V-Cube. But in you have bigger hands, ShengShou.

i'm not looking for size comparisons. i'm asking because i'm looking for the quality of the performance. which one performs better as a speed cube

I'm looking for a new 2x2 and I'm tossing up between a Ghost Hand and a Wittwo. Should I spend that little bit of extra money to get the Wittwo or is it not going to make that big of a difference?

Okay, where should I get one? I live in Australia and I need to find a site with minimal postage charges.

DinoDirect are pretty fast and cheap (I think around US$9) and have free shipping. The shipping is also surprisingly quick; 9 days for a QJ Pyra to get to the UK. It should be a little faster to Australia (I think).
