I would recommend either Mf8 vII or Mefferts. Mefferts is a bit better but about twice the price of the Mf8.

edit: 500th post!

I didn't express myself right, sorry. I have a Mf8 V2 megaminx, and it's locky, slow, and the pieces seem low-quality. Is it just mine?

i want a cube that cuts corners well and doesnt lock up much with decent speed for under $10. A link to lightake would be nice

Ok, so I'm preordering a zhanchi, and I was wondering if I should go with the DIY or the assembled version. On one hand, the DIY comes unstickered (I think), and I'd like to put some cubesmith half-brights on it sometime, so I wouldn't have to remove the stickers. On the other hand, I sort of doubt my ability to assemble a DIY. I totally slaughtered my guhong when I tried to disassemble and reassemble the core, and I don't want the same thing to happen to my zhanchi. Any suggestions?

I would say to go with an assembled cube. Aside from the fact that you would have to assemble (and lube, if you're using Lubix) the core, you also have to assemble the 3 corner pieces and 2 edge pieces + T-parts, which you probably want already done for you.
