I'm looking for the quietest 3x3 possible (for the purposes of cubing in public) that is still a very good cube. Any ideas?

the best quiet cube i have is the gan 356 x. It’s the cube i use at work while lunch break. I hoped the XS was the same but it’s a bit louder. Still more quiet than the gts3m or wr m.

i think it’s the most silent and most mained “flagship”-cube you can buy right now.

EDIT: Of course it’s rather expensive. So if thats a factor as well the tengyun is good. The videos I’ve seen so far said it’s very quiet.

Ok, I'm looking to get into 6x6 and 7x7, what cubes do you recommend? Do I go budget with Yushi V2m and the Yufu V2m, or do I wait for the MGC 6x6 to appear on Speedcube and get the Spark along with it? I don't particularly want to spend too much on these, as I won't probably be practicing them much, but at least able to enjoy those events.

Or do I go for the two best currently, the Spark and the Shadow?

Thanks in advance

Edit: wait I realised the Yufu is sold out on speedcube

The Yushi and Yufu are both outstanding values, the best budget cubes you can buy. I've heard the MGC 6x6 is better, however. Still, if you don't think you'll be that serious, get the Yu cubes. And then buy the Spark or Hays v2 in a year.

Speedcube told me that they will not have more stock until next year if you’re lookng at the Yufu.

I'm picking up speedcubing after several years. Last I remember, I used to be sub-16 with a ZhanChi using Roux (now dropped to sub-30 T_T).

I'm not up to speed on latest cubes and stuffs. But it seems like the Magnetic cubes are the popular choice these days. Having not tried one before and most reviews online talking about how hard M moves are, I'm not sure which one to get.

Seems like the prices have gone up. I can spend up to $35 for 3x3x3.

What are my choices (given that I use Roux)? Should I get a cheap magnetic one to try it out before spending more on a magnetic cube?

GTS2M is a popular cube. We have a few and they hold up well to a lot of solves. You might buy some lubricant for the cube as well.

You should get a Tengyun M if you want quick M moves. The Valk M is really good for roux too. The Wrm is really good, but it is a little over $35. If you are not sure you will like magnetic cubes, than the Thunderclap v3 and the RS3M are both good cubes.

should i get a mystic aosu wrm or aosu gts2m? ive seen a lot of people with the gts2m as their 4x4 main, and the only problem i have with it is its size. right now the only 4x4 i have is a meilong that i magnetised myself. i really like the size. but jrcubers review of it says that it catches a lot. so im not sure which one to get
