[Help Thread] Puzzle Choice Thread

I need a new cube

Hi there!!!
I'm currently using fangshi guangying which is awesome cube and cubing since last 3 months.
I'm sub 50s and trying to improve.
Can anyone suggest me what cube should I use which does not lock up and is smooth and fast and cuts corner efficiently.

TBH, you should be able to easily get sub-30 on any cube (I manage it with roux on my dads second generation rubiks brand) so I would suggest just sticking with your current cube until then as it will also force you to be more efficient which will benefit you a lot later.

Most of the 3x3x3 cubes on the market these days have pretty much been perfected due to the competition to the point where you don't even really have to mod them though I do like the 357
 
Just for a change..
I saw in a competition many people using moyu aolong v2 so I'm kinda attracted to it..XD

I have problem with the cross I mean I take time to solve the cross like 6-8 seconds can you suggest me some links which can help me with the cross.
Also I know all 21pll algorithms and around 13 oll algs what should I learn once I'm done with all the oll algs?

hey im also a member of the u50 club lol, with a pb of 33 sec. atm im trying to solve the whole cross in my head before starting. if this works out, my next plan is cutting down cube rotations. up until now, ive been rotating about five to six times before oll. horrible. i guess look-ahead and learning how to insert pairs from different angles is the key to this. sounds hard though.

watch the badmephisto cross video. also, just oll and pll can get you to really fast times, so you won't need to learn anything for a while. Since you're newer, also try Roux or ZZ, they are two great speed methods.
 
A friend of me looks for a new 3x3 cube. It should be stable and not loose, but have very good corner cutting. He uses a Dayan Zhanchi for now and is not satisfied. Price doesn't matter.

I would maybe try the Aolong v2. It's very popular and from what I'm told the Hualong and Gans 365 are on the loose side so he might not like those.
 
hualong is indeed on the loose side. it's near impossible for me to control in one handed solving as it just wants to move around. I've tried gan356, and it seems slightly more stable, but I don't own one.
