Which speedcube to get?

So I'm fairly new to speedcubing, learning to solve puzzles through Youtube on a Rubik's original cube, but it felt really slow and dodgy, so I went on the internet to find some cubes, I found a review about the following cubes:

YJ YuLong
DaYan ZhanChi
Fangshi Shuangren
Gans III V3
MoYu Weilong (V1, V2, V3) ???
MoYu Aolong

But which one to get as a beginner, or stick with Rubik's?

Any of them will work fine. At this point, your cube choice is arbitrary as long as you dont have a rubiks brand. Any of the ones you listed will work , although I think the YuLong may be a bit outdated.

zhanchi = clicky, smooth, controllable, good corner cutting, locky, pops sometimes, a little outdated

yulong = smooth, controllable, decent corner cutting, somewhat locky, pops a little, somewhat outdated

fangshi shuangren = fast, scratchy -goes away after breaking in and becomes smooth-, great corner cutting, not very locky, shouldn't usually pop depending on tensions

gans 357 = fast, smooth, really good corner cutting, somewhat locky, doesn't usually pop, flimsy

weilong (any) = controllably fast, smooth, good corner cutting, not very locky, doesn't pop that much

aolong = controllable speed, smooth, great corner cutting, not that locky, doesn't pop very often

FTFY ;D

I want a good 4x4 I think the yuxin and aosu are the best options but cannot decide from there, price isn't an issue but just want the best cube. I would prefer the cube to be more stable, less lock ups, less pops, and less catching.

Why is the Aolong called Weilong V3, over the normal Weilong V2, and which one should I get, I'm beginner with a normal rubiks brand cube

If money is tight but still want a nice cube, I suggest a YJ Yulong, it's really good price wise and overall, after that if you need another cube I would suggest a Weilong if you like blocky stable feel Aolong if you like bubbly flimsy feel

Money is not tight and what do those terms mean?

It's kinda hard to explain, but I'll try my best

blocky means that it feels as if the pieces are more square-shaped and you need more accuracy to turn it. Bubbly means that the edges are very rounded and not sharp(to your fingers). I wouldn't call the Aolong flimsy, more of a 'fluid' feeling cube, which is pretty much the opposite of blocky.

Please help guys!!

hi guys

i average 18 seconds

I am currently using a Aolong V2 (i feel is a bit too slow for me, guanying was way to fast) i also have the mini Weilong and like it a lot also like the fangshi shuangren both for their speed.

I have a very aggressive turning style.

I DO NOT like clicky loud cubes (like the yueying) or heavy cubes.

i am considering either of the gans, the weilong, the fangshi shuangren, the qiyi bullfight or thunderclap.

what cube would you recommend?

I think the Gans doesnt suit you much. The shuangren may be too fast for forceful turnig cos you may overshoot. The weilong is similar to the shuangren
And of the qiyi stuff, i dont know much about it so...

3x3 and 2x2

Hey im thinking of getting a new 3x3 and at the moment my two main choices are the moyu aolong v2 and the hualong.
I was wondering if I could get some help on picking one :)
other notable choices would be the guanying, shuangren and gans356/7

Also, im thinking of buying a 2x2 I cant decide wether to get the lingpo, zhanchi, shishuang or the wit two. They all soud pretty good so im still contemplating.

So hopefully I can get some great feedbak from you guys!
