I own a 3x3 Dayan Zhanchi and can get a minute. I was wondering what 2x2 I should get. I am deciding between the Zhanchi 2x2, Wittwo type C, and MoYu LingPo, but I do not want the cube to be too slow, easy to pop, and not too quiet. Which one should I get and why?

Forget about the wittwo. With either the Dayan or the MoYu 2x2s you cannot go wrong.

Can you please explain why the Wittwo would not be ideal?

The WitTwo is locky and overly scratchy/catchy. Maybe with a lot of breaking in and perfect tensioning it could be a great cube, but after using the LingPo and the DaYan, it just doesn't seem worth the effort. The latter two are very good right out of the box and fantastic when tuned to your liking.

So Moyu or Dayan?

Hello!
I have a pretty good question.
I am going to refill 25 dollars into my Amazon account and with my remaining dollars it'll be around $30
The question is because I have lube and 3x3s, but a poppy (VERY POPPY RUINS SOLVES) Dayan+MF8
so should I get a Moyu Aosu or just a Shengshou 4x4 and another unspecified 2x2 because I wanna expand into other than 3x3 stuff
If you answer 2x2 what should I get? LingPo or ShiShuang?

Im getting a couple of primary plastic cubes and was wondering what a good color scheme would be

I like my white/primary colors with black stickers because of the contrast, but it depends on you and if you're colorblind or like certain types of colors personally I like regular white (or black) and bright yellow with half-brights. Look up some of JRCuber's videos thats his basic color scheme.

Question to the group.

My stickers are starting to peel off of my 5x5x5 cube. I read somewhere that the WCA does not permit stickerless cubes for competition, and I am wondering 1) If that is true, and if so 2) Why?

And, aside from this, does anyone who owns a stickerless 5x5x5 have a recommendation or endorsement for one? Thanks.

Stickerless cubes are currently not allowed, but to my knowledge that rule will be abolished next year.

My question, probably a common one: Weisu or Aosu for 4x4?

Aosu, no question. It's the updated version of the Weisu. Also, more pragmatically, my Weisu popped like there was no tomorrow, while my Aosu rarely pops, along with lots of other little performance advantages

Thanks, I was only asking because I know of some earlier cubes that are considered better than the newer ones.

Hi, I'm going to buy my first 3x3 cube, and lots of people recommend the Moyu Weilong. However, since it's my first cube I don't know if its "too fast" for a beginner like me, as some people say. Can someone clear this? Thanks :)

No cube is too fast for anyone. I'm not the best when it comes to 3x3 cubes, but my Zhanchi has failed to disappoint me so far, and I got it a year and a half ago.

Anyone have any ideas for 6x6? Is SS the only one other than V-Cube?

Should i get a 4x4 or a 5x5? They both seem fun, but i like the freeslice method of 5x5 but i like the quality of 4x4s better than 5x5s.

Hey,

I got into cubing like 2 weeks ago, have a Rubik branded cube and just getting the hang of it. I am avareging around 1 min and thinking about buying a DIY cube. This is the cube I am thinking about buying now, from this page. What do you guys think? Also is this webpage reliable?(I'm from Hungary if it helps)

4x4:
Pros - Easy to learn from 3x3, good first step to bigger cubes
Cons - Double Parity :( , need to take extra care on centre building

5x5:
Pros - FreeSlice, only one parity alg to learn
Cons - 3x3 centres and 3 edges to join

In my honest opinion, I would buy the 4x4 first if you only currently own a 3x3. Take it one step at a time, and a 4x4 will set you up for all future even layered cubes.
Hope this helps :)
