I will be going to a competition in 2 weeks. I wanted to get a better cube than the one I have currently own(YJ Chilong). I average sub 30ish. I like smooth/crunchy/buttery cubes, but not sandy ones like the Fangshi Shuangren V2. I will be using Calvin's Lube on them. Which cube would be good for my speed?(I cannot get a Yulong because it is only available in stickerless where I live).

WeiLong V2 or AoLong maybe. BTW, Which comp are you going to? P3 Grand Open or Excellite?

I''m going to the Pune Fall Open. It is the 1st tournament in my city so I decided to go even if I average 30 seconds. :) I think the Weilong or Aolong will be too fast for me.

My weilong V1 is kinda ugly because the weilong V1 only has two corner peice right? and the 2 corner piece are not matched perfectly so it looks like there is a crack INSIDE the peice not the outside like the Weilong V2 it's kinda annoying me does anyone know how to fix it?

I would say the Fangshi is better in my knowledge. You should buy the Moyu Huanying, my friend got one and said that it was great, it costs 6$ on lighter and has free shipping worldwide. It is a fast cube but controllable ( I personally don't think that slow cubes should use slow cubes).

Honestly, I think that the Huanying is outdated and the Fangshi too sandy. I use Roux and CFOP so what cube would be best for me?ALso how is the Witfour for a 1st 4x4?

A good starter 4x4 would be Shengshou.

If you dont like the feel of a Fangshi, the Liying seems fine, though the Roux/Corner first solver i know loves his Fangshi. Illusion.

I already asked on reddit for opinions, but figured I'd ask here to get a few more viewpoints.

I'm planning on getting my first speedcube soon, but aren't sure exactly which one to buy. From what I've seen on reddit, I'm planning on getting at least an SS as that's apparently better for beginners, but should I also get a Weilong/Aolong/Zhanchi as well? At the moment I'm ~60ish using cfop, but my pb (albeit 6 years ago) is 32 seconds using the beginners method.

Thanks!

I don't use Roux as my main method. I might a Shengshou 4x4, but could you suggest another cheap and good quality 4x4 for a beginner. I don't want to mod my SS(I suck at modding).I might get a Liying then. How about a Cyclone Boys 4x4? I also like 3x3's with smooth feeling. Can you reccommend any?

You could get a YJ Chilong like me or a YJ Sulong.Buy the Shengshou Aurora if you like buttery turning. YJ cubes have a crunchy and clicky feeling.Don't get a Weilong/Aolong/Zhanchi unless you are sub 20 or at least sub 30 or you might not be able to control it(After a lot of dispute, I have finally agreed that slow cubers can use slow cubes.). Note that the YJ Chilong is faster than the Aurora or Sulong. It seems hard to control at first, but after a few days you get used to its speed. The Chilong never overshoots, so it should suit a 60 second solver. I average 27-30 seconds currently, with my main being a YJ Chilong

ShengShous aren't that bad unmodded, they just are better modded, I would still recommend one even unmodded.

Please stop spreading this idea around unless you've personally experienced it.

I like a cube that is really fast, won't pop at all, and also really smooth. Really hard description for a cube, but for the smoothness I can use tons of lubrication instead like I did with my sulong but it's too slow. Thanks in advance for help.

personally, I've played with the weilong, zhanchi, sulong, guhong v2, aolong, and Dianma (and a few others that aren't worth mentioning).

Really fast: Zhanchi, Weilong, and Aolong are the fastest of the ones I've used, with Zhanchi being the fastest.

Won't pop at all: The Moyu Cubes all pop the least. Zhanchi doesn't pop much though for me at least.

Smooth: For me, Weilong has been the smoothest, but I kinda like the small bumpiness of the zhanchi and the aolong.

If I were you, I'd go with the WeiLong if you really want smooth, fast, and not poppable. However, the Weilong is very easy to overlube, so don't overlube or it will get extremely gummy and slow.
