What is the difference between the Gans Puzzle 3x3 III v2 (which is 56mm) and the "Gans Puzzle 3x3 III 57mm" (which doesnt say v1, v2 or vx)

Also, having never owned or tried a moyu 3x3, should i get both the weilong and the aolong 57/54.5mm for 2h/OH respectively or can you easily say that one of them beats the other?

EDIT: Oh, and did anything happen on the stickerless puzzles debate? or are they still banned from WCA?

Stickerless cubes are still banned, AFAIK.

The Weilong is definitely a very good cube, but the Aolong has mixed reactions. Feliks likes his a lot, but quite a few other prominent cubers think it's garbage. If you want the safer choice, go for the Weilong.

A ShuangRen, or an AoLong, but the crunchy sandy feeling wears off after a little while
Thanks, but I want a cripsy crunchy feeling without the annoying scratchy and sandy feeling of the Shuangren V2. I don't want something too fast like the Aulong because I'm a sub 30 solver. I'm thinking about buying a Weilong V2 because it costs way less than a Zhanchi where I live. I really like my Chilong but it pops every 10-15 solves and locks up way too much.

Well to be honest I think that the WeiLong V2 will be too fast for you and it's not clicky/crunchy at all. In fact it's very smooth. However if you are set on getting it then I'm not going to stop you because it's a great cube and worth the money. But there is one cube you might like and that is YJ YuLong. Personally, I love the YuLong. It's pretty fast (but not as fast as the WeiLong/Zhanchi) and very clicky/crunchy. I know you're currently using a ChiLong and aren't satisfied with it but the YuLong is big improvement on the ChiLong which is smoother and a bit slower. Other cubes you could look into are the Maru CX3 (this cube is a bit different but it's very clicky) and the MoYu HuanYing (which is a crispier cube).

Apparently stickerless cubes have been unbanned.

Here : 3d) Puzzles must have coloured parts, which must be one of the following: coloured stickers, coloured tiles, coloured plastic, or painted/printed colours. All coloured parts of a puzzle must be made of a similar material.
Should I get the Huanying or Weilong?

Just so no one gets confused, stickerless cubes are still banned.

So I really want to get into MultiBLD soon and I was looking for a cube that's cheap but good, just so I can get a bunch of 'em. Any suggestions?

If I can find an extremely inexpensive one, I might even start making mosaics.

Depending on the price difference, shengshou wind or aurora are both decent and cheap. Wind is cheaper, aurora is slightly better but a bit more expensive.

If they are banned, then no prob. But the WCA regulation says colored plastic is allowed. I'm confused....

Liying will be perfect.

Sure, but the Liying looks very bad. The Huanying looks a lot more attractive to me than the Liying.

guess I'll habe to get both then.

does anyone know about my first question though?

Those two cubes are actually pretty different. The Gans III V2 has a crunchy but airy feeling to it, sort of like the HuanYing but more compact and controllable. The airy feeling is due to the Gans Puzzle core (sometimes called the octopus core) which is made entirely of plastic and has no metal screws. The 57mm Gans III also has that same octopus core but is actually very smooth and buttery with no crunchiness at all. However, I do find the 57mm to be a bit slower than the 56mm.

that sucks for me because i love smooth cubes and i dislike crunchy ones, no matter how fast they are. but i certainly prefer small ones, i find 57mm just a tad too big generally :(

well thanks for the info

... Who thinks the Aolong is garbage? I haven't been able to find a single negative review... url?

Yeah, I haven't either. In my opinion, there is really no downside to the cube except that it may be uncontrollable for slower solvers. It never pops, it corner cuts over 45, and cuts smaller angles easily. It is fast, and once broken in it loses the sandy feeling. It doesn't lock up or have corner twists etc.
