Forget the WeiSu now that Aosu is out. ShengShou is faster than WeiSu, dont know about AoSu. ShengShou needs to be modded very well to be great. This requires probably a few tries at modding and some skill. WeiSu does not pop after you break it in and tension it well.

I'd probably go with the AoSu if I didnt have any of those three.

Alright, thanks! I was probably going to go with the AoSu, but I just needed confirmation.

What Versions (v1 or v2) of the following puzzles is the best (or what is different between them)

Weilong
Fangshi

Weilong -quite literally doesn't matter apparently. V1 is amazing (buttery smooth and fast as hell) and V2 is apparently amazing (slightly clickier smooth and still fast as hell)

Fangshi V2 is better.

What Cube should I get Next?

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong spot or if there is already a thread with this but, anyway. I need help to know what i should get as my next cube. My cube list is as follows: Shengshou 4x4 Shengshou Mirror Bump cube Rubiks cube Dayan Guhong v2 stickerless QJ megaminx QJ Pyraminx LanLan Skewn (my Fav) and QJ 2x2. What is your favorite cube that you think I should get? Or what cube do you think is cool but dont own? Thanks, and maybe if you can put a link to a good review to the cube also? Thanks again!

You should get an Axis Cube. They're pretty fun and shape-shift a ton.

Edit:

Hello, I've been speedcubing for about 4 months now and my average is about 27 (3LL) with a full step PB of 19.05 (easy f2l). My main right now is a Guhong v2 and I really like the clicky-smooth feeling of it but it's very loud and not very ideal for speedsolving in class (like after a test). What's a good speedcube that feels similar to the Guhong V2 but isn't as noisy? Or maybe something of similar speed?

Also, what's a great cube for one-handed? Right now I'm using a Fangshi Shuangren v1 for one handed solves but sometimes I throw other layers into mis-alignment with my fingers.

I'm also looking for a 4x4 for speed solving. I have an unmodded Shengshou 4x4 V5 but I find that the inner layers catch a lot, ruining my PLL and OLL parity algorithms.

Don't know about your first question.

I use a loose ZhanChi if you have small hands then maybe a 55mm ZhanChi or a MoYu WeiLong, YJ ChiLong its really just personal preference, try different cubes and see which you like.

Try a MoYu WeiSu or a MoYu AoSu.

Hope This Helped:)

There's nothing that feels like a Guhong; however if you do the 48-point edge mod on it, it reduces the noise signifiantly without dramatically changing the feel. Takes about 30 mins to an hour and a piece of sandpaper or a file. Much cheaper than buying a new cube! :)

Do you feel like the mis-alignment is due to the size of the cube? Many people prefer a very slightly smaller cube for OH, such as the Zhanchi 55mm, or the ShuangRen 54.x, or Weilong 54.x (one is 54.6, one is 54.8 I think, but can't remember which way round!). I find the Fangshi a bit unstable, personally, and use a 55mm Zhanchi.

If you don't think the misalignment is down to size, it may just be your OH turning style. Watch Weston's new video on CubingWorld about getting fast at OH - it's all about practicing how to turn. Also I think Phil (ASmallKitten) made a vid a couple of years ago called something like "how I turn OH". Worth a watch too. Improving your style should reduce lockups and stop your fingers getting in the way of each other!

Okay, well the Moyu WeiSu and AoSu are kind of expensive. Maybe I'll just mod the Shengshou 4x4 V5 but I scared I might over mod it.

Alright, I will look into the mod but as I said earlier, I'm scared I might overmod. Also, I think I will try a smaller cube, usually it's my palm that throws the layers into mis-alignment.

Hey guys I was thinking what cube should I try next. I average about 28 seconds and my pb is 19.27. As a main I use Dayan Guhong v2 and Dayan Zhanchi but I'm looking something not so locky. I'm getting a Moyu Weilong and I'm going to try that. I'm kinda mix between smooth and rough turner and I like both cube types, smooth and crispy. So what would you recommend?

I have a zhanchi that is ultra fast but locks up quite a bit. I have a weilong that is very smooth, but not that fast. I like the feeling of the weilong better but I'd like it to be as fast as my zhanchi and it'd be the perfect cube. I know there's supposedly nothing faster than a weilong, but my lubed zhanchi is definitely faster. My zhanchi is lubed ( core is even dirty at the moment with quite some dust ), the weilong is only lubed on the core at the moment. Any tiny drop of silicone inside it makes it slower, even though I usually put more in my other cubes. I don't know if I should try to mod my zhanchi or try a weilong v2, or any other cube.

I like doing moves fast and precise, that don't require too much power to turn, basically my weilong is really good when I put a bit of maru lube inside it, but I can't afford a drop every 10 solves when doing 200 solves a day. I like smooth cubes, and definitely hate lockups.

What cube should I get ?
