Yeah I've heard that. I'll probably end up getting one of them because TheCubicle stock them. As well as a SS pyra and a Fangshi (and maybe a yj sulong because they're only 6$) though I can't see any 3x3 being better than my Weilong.

A well lubed Lunhui makes little to no noise and turns very smoothly. However, it's not really the best cube out there.

Shengshou aurora is pretty quiet, same with the fangshi. They're both good, too.

Definitely Weilong XD jk Weilong is pretty loud.

CX3 is loud, almost as loud as the HuanYing and maybe as much so from reviews I've seen. I don't own the thing (unfortunately) so don't take my word for it.

I would say Aurora, Lunhui would work as well but it's not aas good imo.

Cx3 is crunchy and loud. Pretty much impossible to lock up though.. Be warned the weilong is NOT quiet at all. It's quite crunchy sounding. Probably aurora is your best bet.

I've handled the LanLan 7x7 and didn't really like it, it felt stiff, tended to pop and etc, lube helped a bit but still didn't like it. So I guess YJ, Z-Cube and XCube are the ones I'd be interested in. I've read that the YJ stickers tend to come off easily, but it's no problem if it's better - can always resticker

Well, Aurora, or Weilong if you don't mind dumping weight 5 in. In short: Aurora.

And get it off fasttech.

If you want a pillowed 7x7, go with the V-Cube. Most knockoff 7x7s are pretty bad.

Something from the Guhong family. My v2 lubed is great for slow turning and no noise. And my v1 when you turn slowly is basically soundless.

Seconded. I have a guhong v2 which has 48pem and some gummy lube, and it's practically silent. 48pem removes the slight click every 1/8th turn. Or just do CPM.

I don't think any cube is 'silent' out of the box, but a modded guhong 2 is as close as you get. If it annoys your parents, tell them they need to get you the best, most expensive guhong 2 that Lubix sell! :-D

I can't find any X-Cube or Z-Cube reviews or comparisons.. YJ seems fine at least in video, but the LanLan also looked descent in the championship cube store video ..

Afaik X-Cube = V-cube. Dont know about the Z-Cube. In my mind the only options worth considering are the V-cube and the ShengShou (ShengShou mini most likely for anyone). If you really want to go pillowed then V-cube is the way to go. Keep in mind that the V-cube needs a lot of breaking in (I've had one from 2009 and it still isnt broken in) and its a pretty big and stiff puzzle so solving is not exactly enjoyable (in my opinion, this is why my cube is barely broken in).

The ShengShou on the other hand is smooth and light to turn from the start.
