Which Megaminx should I get? I've never had one before, but I want a really good one so I don't have to buy a better one down the road.

The top 3 Minx's out there right now are the Dayan, ShengShou, and Mf8 V3. Now the price on them are odd Dayan goes for around $18+/- ShengShou around $10+/- and the Mf8 V3 about the same price as the Dayan.

What is the best 4x4 cube?

I would like to know what all of your opinions are on what the best 4x4 cube is. If any of you know what cube was used to get the 4x4 world record that would be great too.

Pretty much the shengshou. It's hard to find a v3 nowadays, so you'll probably just have to go with a v4. You can still mod it in the future if you feel like it. If you're just getting into 4x4, it will be fine unmodded.

What is the best magaminx?

What is the one you prefer? What was the one used to get the world record?

The best ones are supposed to be the "old" mefferts megaminx which name speaks for its rarity. These megaminxes were used to break the WR as well. I would highly suggest the Shengshou megaminx because it requires no break-in and turns the best out of the box out of all the megaminxes, not to mention one of the cheapest options.

SSv5 is better than the v4, locks less when both are unmodded.

Modded I don't like the v4.

I like my v-cube4 better than my SSv5, it corner cuts better and that helps with some things.

Well, depends if you're talking about the original ShengShou 3x3 (which I have in my house, but which no one knows about), or the Wind
Both are good cubes, and insanely cheap. However, the original seems a lot louder and clickier, and needs a lot more breaking in from my experience

I'm assuming you're talking about the SS Wind though. It's a good cube
