I want to get a mini ZhanChi because a) my hands are on the smaller side, and b) I've started doing OH solving. Should I get the 55mm or the 50mm with both TH and OH solving in mind?

What cubes to blow $60 on?

Hey guys. I'm pretty new here.. Anywho, if this is the wrong place to post this I'm really sorry! Now for my question...
My birthday is next thursday (Mar. 28) and long story short I got a $60 gift card to amazon. I'm looking to blow it all on cube stuff. So, since I'm inexperienced, I want to know what cubes you guys think I should get. My list at the moment is a Wittwo (v1 of course), a Shengshou 5x5 (have the 4x4 already), and maybe a Panshi (if you've tried it please tell me if you think it's worth the 18 bucks I'd have to pay for it..) So yeah. Cubes I already have.. Guhong v2, a couple zhanchis, Lanlan 2x2, SS 4x4, and...an evil rubiks brand 5x5. So yeah if you guys could give me some insight that would be great! Thanks so much,

-Kennan

EDIT: forgot to mention i'm interested in pretty much any puzzle up to the 7x7 at the moment. If any of you have recommendations for another cool 3x3 that'd be great, as well as whether I should go for SS 6x6 or 7x7 first.. They're about the same price. Thanks again!

Scratch the panshi, the other ideas are fine in any case.

Maybe get a cuboid as well.. they're fun and will teach you whole new ways of solving things :)

Happy birthday! (in advance)

happy birthday sir, yes I second on leaving the panshi alone it doesn't live up to the name, if I could recommend a 3x3x3 id go with a dayan 4 lunhui I had one I bought when I was over seas and I loved it so much that im going to be getting me another one, maybe get your self a timer to practice for speed.

Well, finding things to spend money on itsn't hard. I've already got planned out what to spend the next 400$ I can get on. Of course, 300 of it is just for the Dino 3x3. I don't think You will have any trouble finding things to spend money on, I just whish I had money to spend on cubes.

I would recommend looking into the Fangshi Shuang Ren, but I'm not sure that amazon would carry it. It is also yet to be released, so you would be pre-ordering it.

If it were me, I'd get a wittwo, rex cube, curvy copter, mirror cube, void cube, SS 4x4, and SS 5x5. I don't know what cubes you already have though, so just choose whatever you want.

Maybe you might want to get something different like a Pyraminx or a Megaminx instead of a PanShi?

Do you have a recommendation for Megaminx? Supposedly dayan is good.. I've been looking at the SS Pyraminx and I think I'm gonna go for it.

Also, don't forget to get some lube (Traxxas 50k differential oil).

Yep no worries there! Got 50cc of 10k and 30k.

get a 7x7 instead of a 6x6, because the internals for an even layered are evil.

Oh haha I heard that but never knew it was true! I guess its sorta like going between a 4x4 and 3x3 assembly..

If you have a Lingyun v2, how does that compare to the lunhui? I have a Zhanchi which I love to death, but I'm not against the other dayans lol
Oh about the timer. Where is the cheapest place to buy a speedstacks pro timer? I kinda like those.. If not that Gen 3 is fine..

Don't mind those internals now.. you're not letting yourself get scared of a cube here.. come on.

Watch crazybadcuber's tut on assembling the 6x6, it is not THAT hard :)

I've seen some people saying that the 6x6 is the best on the market, but it's still not incredible.. Anyhow I'm kinda wondering if I should try the other Dayan 3x3s. I'm very interested in Lingyun v2 and the Lunhui..

I am debating on whether I want to get a stickerless Zhanchi or a regular Zhanchi with stickers. The reason for this is I want a cube where there are no stickers because my mom will never buy me stickers. I have to have her buy them because I have no way of paying for them for myself because I don't have paypal. Anyway my concern is that the colors on the stickerless Zhanchi are they good? Like does they blend in with each other, or do they stick out from each other like a half bright set?

I have a stickerless cube and a white cube. So far, my stickerless cube seems to be weaker plactic (probably because all of that die it has in it). I remember reading somewhere that plastic gets weaker as percent of dye in it increases. This makes logical sense because the dye isn't a durable material. For this reason: white cubes last longer than black ones, which last longer than stickerless. I've noticed that my stickerless cube always has alot of plastic dust in it that is from it being worn off from turning the cube. This isn't simply because I play with it more, because I actually play with the white one more.
