Get crc from walmart or some auto shop place...
Maru lube can be purchased from speedcubeshop or from cube depot. There is a knockoff maru lube on lightake.com as well.
You can also buy low weight shock oils. These are pure silicone and are typically found online at anywhere google will find it or at local hobby shops that have r/c cars and or model train sets...
the type A5 cube is very crispy if you like the feel of your type c. On the other end of the spectrum, Type f has become popular, f2 is a good cube. It has rounded cubies that give a bubbly feel. Dayan guhong is very good cube and is fairly new. The guhong is a very floaty feel and is very forgiving to rough cubing. Also, this is the fastest cube I've ever had, and many other testimonials from forum members would agree. The A5 is very nice once modded and broken in. F2 is also good but when it starts go get gunky, it performs like crap, more so than the latter 2.

the type c is still an alright cube, but as you probably know its not very forgiving under rough cubing... the cubes they've been producing lately have been progressingly more forgiving...

Hope this helps!

Also, lol@maru glue.. it looks kinda like it, but is much the opposite!

I don't see why you would even say F-IIs are equal quality to a Rubik's. They are great, but they die in a few months.
I like the GuHong best.
Just let me say, it DOES NOT blow all the other top-of-the-line speedcubes out of the water. But, imo, it is the best.
I have never tried a Lingyun, AV, or Haiyan (which are supposedly really really good also.)

:fp I said I was just trying to say I prefer a5's more. And btw firefox, A-5's and F-2 are like rivals... They're both good for certain things, but some people prefer one over the other. I, for instance like A-5's.

WAIT. WAIT. WAIT. WAIT. WHAT? *sigh* I wasted a lot of money.
OT: Gu Hong, but there REALLY is no cube that is better than any other cube. Heck, I can get better solves on my f-ii than my Gu Hong.

FII right outta the box is amazing. No real modding required, no assembly required and is a great cube. Bought 3 of them, had them for the last 5 months and they are still going strong.

GuHong, definitely. Type C's are not good, especially compared to GuHong. They lock up a lot. My GuHong never ever locks up and turns really easy. My Type C-II turns 3 times as hard.

Until I ordered my A5 I had no idea they had a "cheap" feel, i.e. they are lighter and the plastic feels very cheap and breakable, it seems like a 2 dollar cube compared to a guhong or an fII, both of which feel like a cube made for speedcubing - great plastic, sturdy, smooth, and a design that looks like it took some ingenuity. The A5 is a good cube, don't get me wrong, it is very very fast, but it just feels like a crappy dollar store cube to me
