lol I was just about to decide to get a timer
So should I get a YJ timer or the QiYi one?
Just get a speedstacks. The other timers are all really cheap, but if you are going to compete one day, it's worth it to get a Gen4 or Gen5 timer, as you will end up using them in a comp. Best way to prepare for a comp.

Those are very expensive. You're better off getting the GAN timer. It's very similar to a stackmat, cheaper, and it looks much nicer.

Well, I can't speak for myself. I got 3 for free.
But although they are expensive, I feel like you should get one because it allows you to brag to all of your friends it will help give you experience for a comp. Same hardware. A GAN timer may be cheaper, but is it used at comp? It's like going into a simulation versus the real thing. A GAN timer may help you simulate a stackmat, but you will be able to have easier use with the stackmat, as it is very easy to use. No one will know that the reset button is the GAN button unless you read the directions. As for a stackmat, the buttons mean literally what they do.

I second this. Just get the official timer. It will help you practice for the competition environment.

Hey all 👋 I just won Brina Sun’s $25 giveaway to TheCubicle. I want to get a Square one, a skewb, and a mirror cube plus maybe something else. I’m thinking the yuxin little magic square one M, the yuxin little magic skewb, and I’m not sure what mirror cube yet. Are these good choices? What mirror cube would you recommend? (Besides the Gan mirror cube) I’m hoping to get the three cubes for around $30 or less. Thank you

Sure, good idea. Go with a Qiyi Mirror blocks.
I would recommend that you wait for a skewb/blocks puzzle and get a MGC squan to help spark your interest in the event. It does help with doing D/U fingertricks in standard 3x3 solves a lot more than Skewb or Mirror Blocks.

Thank you. The YJ MGC square one is out of stock on The Cubicle right now though.

If you just want a decent cube in all the events, the YLM skewb and square 1 are ok. Definitely go with the QiYi mirror.

Hey, I was wondering if anybody here has the QiYi Mp 3x3.. If u do, do you recommend me to buy it too? I currently use the QiYi MS 3x3 and I'm looking for a cube with atleast a spring compression system and not suuuper expensive, I know about the rs3m 2020 but can't rlly decide between the rs3m and the QiYi mp
