If price really isn't an issue, I'd say either the MoYu WeiLong GTS3M ($35) or the GAN356 X (~$64). I personally have the GTS3M and I love it, but I haven't tried out the 356 X.
If you prefer smaller cubes, you may want to consider the GAN354 M. It's 54mm rather than the standard 56mm, and it makes a difference!
Thanks! I'll definitly take a deeper look into them. Also if you know any 2x2 suggestions, it's never too late to write them to me ;)

The WeiPo is still good, maybe get a magnetic version if you really want.
If you do want a new main though, maybe the QiYi WuXia or the magnetic version?

Hey everyone! I used to be really into cubing but had to take a break because of problems with carpal tunnel. I was pretty active until around 2016-2017, and the last "new" cube I bought was the Guoguan Yuexiao. I went back to TheCubicle and it looks like there's a ton of new cubes out with stuff like magnets and higher prices. Could someone explain what's changed in the overall design of new 3x3s? Are they significantly better than cubes like the AoLong or Guoguan that I have?

Hey, great to have you back. Some cubes have been getting more expensive especially Gan cubes. Magnets have become a huge part of cubing hardware and new higher end cubes always come out with a magnetic version. The top 3x3's right now are the Gan 3x3's(X, SM, and 354), Moyu GTS3M, and Valk Power. But there are some awesome budget 3x3's as well like the MF3RS2(and now there is a 3rd edition) and YJ MGC3 II. The Gan X has a new tensioning system and the GTS3M has a new tensioning system as well. All these cubes are significantly better then the AoLong.

Thanks for the reply! Do you have any suggestions on where to start? For example, which is better -- the GTS3 M and the GTS3 LM? Or does that come down to personal preference? Also, at least for the Moyu, what functions do the magnets and the spring compression serve?

Your welcome! Since I don't own a GTS3M I will leave answering your question to someone else.

The cube is extremely fast. For cubes like that, stronger magnets are usually better.

The magnets improve the stability. The spring compression controls the speed and stability of the cube.

Recently, GAN have announced the new GAN X, which has interchangeable magnets. I have a 354 and I use it as my main, but does the Gan X Feel different, or is it just a version of a different cube with Interchangeable magnets? To be honest, the magnet strength on the 354 Is perfect for me, so I don't know if the GAN X feels better than the 354 or 356 SM and UM or if its just basically the same thing, with the interchangeable magnets. Is it worth buying, when I have a cube which I already really like?

If you don't want to get it super expensive and just want it for the feel, get a GAN 365 R, then magnetize it. That's what I'm going to do.

Personally, I don’t have a 354 or an SM, but the 356X is very good. You can pretty much set it up exactly as you like it, and you can make it into a great cube for you. I would hands down recommend it. But going to your question, it depends on how much you like your cube. If it is perfect for you, then there isn’t much reason to get an 356X.

Hi! I have had the Valk for a good 1 or 2 years and it is dying on me :( I recently got the Little Magic and I love it! Is there a cube that is like the Little Magic but feels more premium. I was wondering if the new GTSM is sorta close to that description. I just need a new main and money isn't too bad on me.

I don't know if I would compare the GTS3M to the Little Magic, but I've been using the GTS3M for a while and I've been loving it!

I also love the Little magic and found that I love Gan cubes. They aren't for everyone, but if you can spend $60 on the Gan 356 x (which is my main) I really think you'll like it. If that's too expensive, you can go with one of their cheaper options, but I love the 356 X.

The Huanglong is similar to a premium Little Magic but I would recommend the GTS3M.

I have noticed that some people that regular prefer black puzzles use the white dayan 2x2. Is the white Dayan 2x2 better than the black one?

-Nard Cubes

I don´t think so. A dayan is a nice cube if it is lubed well, black or white.
You also have to tension it carefully, there is no good anti-pop-mechanism.

Can any one help me?

This is my cubes list:
1.weilong gts3
2.gan 356 air
3.valk power
4.yuxin huanglong 3x3
5.valk 3
6.weilong GTS 2
What cubes should I buy?
