does anyone know any cubes whihc are good like the meiying or should i just try the yueying
Do you already have a MeiYing? A YueYing would be a step backward from that I think.

I can't really think of a lot of puzzles that are similar to MeiYing. It has a really unique feel to it with the sharp inner edges and airy, lightning-fast turning. For the same speed and lightness a HuaLong is a good choice but has a little more bubbly feel with the rounded edges. A Yuxin 3x3 is just as fast and airy but a bit heavier, also a little bigger. Finally, a lot of people compared the YueXiao to the MeiYing when it first came out. There are some design similarities but I don't really find a lot in common with the turning or feel. The YueXiao is really fast but extremely stable whereas the MeiYing is a much more flexy puzzle.

Wait, what? When did they start doing custom orders? I can't find anything on their site about that...

I think he's talking about the internal lube service, you can find the option on the page of the cube you want to buy around the area where you can choose the color of your cube. I think ...

EDIT: yeah, look at the valk ~~ https://thecubicle.us/valk-p-7148.html

Right under the color option is the lube service option. I don't think every cube has this option though.

Hi, I'm looking to buy a new 3x3. Do you have any suggestions for the following criteria.
It must come in stickerless, have a sluggish feel (or be possible to be made to feel that way), be very stable and be quiet.
Thanks for any suggestions.

sluggish and stickerless,

Thunderclap V2 (sluggish out of box)
Aolong V2 (Just pour all your traxxas 50k into it)

New cubes these days are usually quite fast, and ones like the tanglong that have a very controllable and possibly sluggish feel don't have sticker less options

Thanks, can some cubes be overlubed to at least be controllable with a lasting effect, such as a meiying?

STICKERLESS Zhanchi!!!! It fits all of your requirements dude! :)

Hey! I'll be buying my first 6x6 after the MoYu and QiYi 7x7's will be available. Which 6x6 do you think is the best (YuXin with 5x5 springs, QiYi WuHua or MoYu WeiShi)? YuXin is the smallest, so I think I would like it more if it's performance isn't much worse.

I currently have the YuXin and my WuHua is on its way, so I don't have much experience with anything but the YuXin, but from what I hear it's pretty safe to say you should get either the WuHua or the WeiShi.
The YuXin is good, but most people consider the newer ones a pretty universal improvement on it.
As for which one to get, people are saying the WuHua is very fast and the WeiShi is very stable. I've also heard a few people saying that the WeiShi is impossibly smooth (since 6x6's are pretty much always bumpy), but I haven't heard much about the actual feel of the WuHua.

EDIT: Though, in recent news, Kevin Hays appears to disagree.

Hi,

I upgraded my little cousin's clunky rubick's cube. Unfortunately, the new cube is just loose enough that he figured how to corner turn. Now rather than try to focus on solving, he just "cheats" all the time.

I spent some time searching for terms like "corner turn proof" and unintentionally bumped into a lot of math!

While we try to "fix" my cousin (hehehe), can someone recommend some cubes that are more difficult (or impossible) to corner turn?

I concur with @Chree
Take him to a competition and let him see how close the judges are watching you. You can't cheat at a comp.

So far as I know, every speedcube on the market can be forced to corner twist... the 3x3s anyway.

I think you'll just have to convince your little cousin that corner twisting is not a "legal" move.

Thanks Chree & Dom for the quick responses. His "rubick'" cube is tougher to corner twist but that maybe just because it is tough to turn in all circumstances.

We will just have to "fix" him!

Since I don't have the weishi or Wuhua, I'm not the best source of information.

I will say though that the spring-swapped yuxin is well-beyond competent in terms of speed solving. The only flaw with the yuxin is big cube lock-ups, but then again most cubes have that anyway and it doesn't occur often.

IMO, you should get the wuhua.
Reason #1: no spring swap needed, less maintenance
#2: only 2$ more expensive than yuxin bought with spring swap
#3: if anything, the performance can't be drastically worse than the yuxin. probably on-par with differences in personal preference.
