A cheaper 3x3 that is contrasting of a Guoguan Yuexiao? Basically I want to see how I like a cube that is a lot less crunchy, because Ive only ever had crunchy cubes. Something smooth, but still a good cube.

OK, so that's one very halfhearted vote for the Tanglong. ;) I'll put my question differently: high turning speed often equals instability and lockups. How about a recomendation for a cube with good stability and few lockups, even if that comes at the expense of turning speed? Again, I ask because I hear countless 3x3s described as fast but almost none described as slow.

TangLong: slow and stable.
The WeiLong V2 is very stable, but not too fast.
The HuaLong is pretty stable, but also pretty fast with good corner cutting.

I don't lock up on any of those.

So what cube is the best of three?
One more I would like to add to the list: the AoLong V2. It is very stable, but since it doesn't corner cut as well as the others, some people with a sloppy turning style might think it catches or locks. For most people (including myself) don't experience lockups, though.

In my opinion, the HuaLong is the best of those because it's faster, corner cuts better, and it even has semi-squared off corners to prevent corner twists. But because the corners are also kinda rounded also, it doesn't lock up for me.

I'm thinking of buying a new 3x3 cube, what do you think is better of two: Moyu Aolong v2 and Moyu Weilong GTS. And you can show me some cube that you think it is good. Thank you! ;);)

To choose between the AoLong and the GTS: For a beginner, I would suggest an AoLong V2. For advanced cubers who are sub 20, I recommend the GTS. But there are many many speed cubers who are sub 15 and use the AoLong.

So a Weilong GTS is good, right?
And, can you guys give me a detailed comparison between Aolong v2, Tanglong and Weilong GTS, please? Thank you so much...

Honestly. Tanglong slower, controllable... great for people with harsh turning and uncontroollable turning styles, weilong gts is fast and kind of unstable, great for faster more accurate turners, and has a very nice smoothness to it. Aolong v2 is the middle child of the two. Thats my 1 minute explanation of the cubes!

I completely agree with RennuR on the comparison. The only thing I would like to add is that the TangLong seems to get annoying after a while because it just takes too much finger strength to turn.

yes, the GTS is good, but only for accurate turners, like RennuR said. If you're concerned about a cube that might lock up, then your turning might not be very accurate, and the GTS would not be good for you.

you can't do stickerless with the GTS.

my opinion for you, from what you've described about your interests, is the AoLong V2. That's my final answer.

Thanks for your answer, it's what I'm thinking now. But can you tell me more about it, some pros and cons, too.

Another thing I heard about the tanglong is that while it is a great cube out of the box, it actually declines in effectiveness after a while, meaning this cube becomes dead faster than others, while I cannot say this from experience, I have heard this a lot from other people.

I bought a "normal" Moyu Pyraminx 7 weeks ago and I'm already sub-8 (not bad) I'm learning L4E now, but I saw the Moyu Magnetic Pyraminx for $6.99 on cubezz.com, is it worth buying the Magnetic one?

If you like your pyra there's no need to get another so soon, but if you love it and want something different it's up to you. Your times won't be much better.

$7 its a very nice pricee though.

I have a Moyu Pyraminx ;) But because of the price I'll buy the cube. $7 for a Moyu Magnetic Pyraminx is cheap, but thanks for the answer man
