K I have an Moyu Aosu 4x4. Is it still the best 4x4? Is the Cyclone boys/yuxin blue better?

Which is better yuxin or bochuang? I know bochuang is bigger which i like. But which one is faster and has better cornercutting?

Which is better moyu pyraminx or qiyi pyraminx?
The CB G4 is my main, so I might be biased towards it. It all depends on your size preference. 62mm vs 60mm. I've heard from @SpeedCubeReview and others that the Yuxin blue is equally nice but not better than the G4. If you prefer 62mm cubes I have also heard that the new KungFu CangFeng is great and it's dirt cheap but not sure it's any better than a well broken in Aosu.

Between Yuxin 5x5 and BoChuang I think it's a matter of preference. I am terribly slow yet at 5x5 (still over 3min avg) and I have both. I prefer the Yuxin but probably because mine is stickerless and the bochuang isn't but if you listen to people much faster than I am there is not a big difference between the two in speed or corner cutting nor in overall performance. Not sure if BoChuangs getting sluggish after some hundreds of solves is still an issue or not.

The characters are moyu' logo that they put on their cubes, but I'm no expert on modern 3x3s, so I don't know what brand it is. It's definitely just a rebranded moyu cube though.
umm the characters aren't japanese, or moyu either, it's actually 永骏魔方, or YJ in chinese. so it looks like a rebranded Guanlong

I have a SuLong and I really like its crunchy-ness, although the cube itself isn't that great. Could you guys recommend some advanced 3x3s with similar feeling to it? :D

is the qiyi or moyu pyraminx better? I'm considering getting one
which one has better corner cutting and speed? and what do they feel like?

Okay.

My main x-man tornado is unfortunately broken ,and it was wearing out heavily anyhow, so I need a new main.

Speed is important. I need an extremely fast cube, especially when there is no lube. I prefer when my cubes can do about 270s with one flick without lube. As long as the cube isn't rattly and is well in tact.

For me, corner cutting only needs to be effortless just past line to line and about a piece reverse. Having it cut past is nice and cool, but not really needed.

I never really get any catches when solving, although I can get pops.

The noise of the cube also doesn't matter. I dealt with many loud cubes and didn't get worked up about it.

I prefer slightly smaller cubes, prefferably 56 and 55 mm.

I'm happy with any cube past 8 dollars.

I like flexible cubes, but not super super floppy. However, I don't like cubes that don't flex, or flex very little.

My cube doesnt need to be recent. As long as it has the above specs. Heck, it could even be a dayan or an alpha and I would be fine.

Im not such a fan of the moyu sub branch cubes and YJ cubes.

I would describe my perfect cube as a more crispy, flexible, and smoother rubiks brand, maybe a little scratchy and sandy too.

Sounds like a new (v1) Thunderclap, but they break in and get a lot slower fast (<100 solves).

Reading through this thread I have to say I'm a tad surprised at people recommending the Aosu. It's undeniably a great cube, but in my opinion it's got very little if anything on the Cyclone Boys G4, and it is a lot more expensive.

I need a new 3x3 main, i had a Yuexiao which i liked pretty much but it broke so now im using my OH main, a mini Weilong. I like the smooth feeling the Weilong has but its way to blocky and a little to fast (barely sub18). I liked the feel of the Yeaxio but it got full of grey dust Every 3 days and then it was very locky and sluggish. Im not really sure what cube to get, I've been thinking about getting an Along V2 or maybe a thunderclap V2 but i dont really know how those cubes feel/performe so i would like to know what they are like and maybe if some other cube would fit me better. I dont care about price, age or brand btw

From what I've found, every cube will accumulate the grey dust after a while. As far as thunderclaps are concerned though, (I never owned an aolong) it's pretty sweet. Cutting is sufficient, but I'm mostly drawn to how stable it is. When I had it set really loose (hella-loose), it would flop around like a wet noodle and lock up, but more reasonably set up, it's pretty reliable. Fast too (which I can handle) and when freshly lubed, it's a treat. On occasion though, I do have to pop it open, wipe out all the dust, and re-lube it. Just note that it's the only viable speedcube I own (therefore my "main"), and some bias may come from that, but I tried to keep this as objective as possible.

ok, I think I will wait till there are some reviews of the V2 and then buy either that or a V1

What are the best skewbs and pyraminxes?
Qiyi and Moyu.
The Moyu ones are more clickier, the qiyi ones are faster and smother.
With the Qiyi ones you can adjust the tension of the ballbearings, so you have more optiones to adjust them.
I prefer Qiyi in both cases.

So you are thinking about buying a skewb? I also prefer the Qiyi to the Moyu and you can algo get it in stickerless, which Moyu doesn't have.
Yeah, I have a comp coming up that has pyra and skewb. I was telling my parents that I want to compete in them for fun and just use someone else's skewb and pyra, but they suggested that I can just buy one. I think that might give me more reason to get the qiyi then, because I'm getting a whole set of stickerless puzzles for my mains (already have a dayan 2x2 stickerless, gonna get a thunderclap and thunderclap v2 in stickerless, cyclone boys g4 stickerless).

If you want a stickerless skewb i think Cong's design is going to release one pretty soon

Ill get that one too once it comes out, if i end up getting into skewb. For now i think ill just buy the stickerless qiyis. Thanks for the advice everyone!
The stickerless qiyi skewb and pyra are very good choices. Also if you ever think of trying a different 2x2 than the Dayan the Weipo is a good contender to the Dayan throne and the stickerless shades are very nice. I also love the CB G4 and the stickerless shades are probably the best I've ever seen on any puzzle.

Good luck in your comp, by the way!

Haha you read my mind! Ill also be buying a weipo since someone asked me to review it and compare it to the dayan (and i might as well go ahead and buy more cubes at once because if im paying for shipping, i may as well get the most out of my order). Thank you!
