Dayan is rest in pieces(pop all the time)

I would recommend the weipo :)
which is better, a broken in dayan that doesn't pop or the weipo? Is the dayan still used by all the top 2x2ers? Which one is better?

If properly set up and broken in I'd still say the Dayan is a bit better but the Weipo is just great out of the box and it does not pop, which leaves more freedom for different setups. I have my Dayan a bit tighter that I'd like to avoid pops.

I am also coming back from a LONG cubing break (2 years?). I have the Wittwo V1 and the Dayan 2x2. I really like the scratchy feel of the Wittwo, but it tends to catch a lot which is why I switch back and forth between the Dayan. However, I don't think my turning style works well with the smoothness of the Dayan even if I could get good times. (Or maybe I just have inaccurate turning or tensions irdk) Would you recommend the WeiPo?

For 3x3, I really like the Weilong V1? Should I try the GTS?

Lastly for bigger cubes, should I go Aosu and BoChuang GT?

For 2x2: i don't really know
3x3: The GTS has 1 thing in common with the old Weilong: it is fast. That is it.
4x4: Aosu (maybe, the new Yuxin Blue is pretty good too i've heard, there is one coming on my way) Bochuang GT (yes, maybe try the Yuxin too, some people still prefer it over the Bochuang, watch some reviews and comparisons to make your decision)

For 2x2 the Weipo is worth trying but no better than the dayan.
For 4x4 I would also consider the Cyclone Boys G4, the more so if you like smaller cubes.
For 5x5 either the yuxin or the bochuang are good choices.

the GTS doesn't have much in common with the weilong v1, but it is still a great cube
4x4, use the aosu or the yuxin blue 4x4
5x5, use the bochuang or the yuxin 5x5

watch some videos about the 4x4's and 5x5's i named

2x2: check ur Dayan 2x2 screws. If they are black then that means it's an old plastic which is still regarded by many as the best 2x2 on the market. If it's a new plastic batch then go for the weipo, budget 2x2 go for Yj yupo or qiyi cavs.

3x3: just get the GTS, it's great but a little floppy/flexy. If you want something stable and fast like the weilong V1 or 2 then go for the thunderclap (the version 2 will be released very soon so hold out!)

4x4: moyu aosu or YJ guansu. Other great cubes at a cheaper price compared to the aosu like the cyclone boys need a lot of work and breaking in, and the Yuxin blue, while very hyped, is sluggish and needs a spring swap (if your cool with that then go ahead).

5x5: bochuang and Yuxin doesn't really matter. Bochuang is slightly more expensive with better fit stickers. The performance and feel is similar enough for me to where I don't think one is better than the other. My main is the Yuxin though ...

Then again, the new plastic Dayan is pretty sweet too with breaking in [emoji848]

This has to be the most helpful reply I've gotten; thanks!

The screwhead isn't exactly black, but here's a pic. I do think it's the old plastic because I got this before I've ever heard there was a new plastic version.

I might hold out on the 3x3s because the WeiLong serves me fine. And for the 5x5, I think I'll go with the MoYu since it's just 3 bucks

Awesome sauce! Def an old plastic and it's a very valuable cube these days. Last thing to consider is SIZE of the cube for 4x4. For me, 60 and 62mm is a huge difference because my hands are kind of small, and the 60mm just feels so much better especially in 3x3. anyway, you're welcome and welcome back to the cubing community

what is the best oh cube in 2016.
I have started to practice oh and I use an X-Man tornado but is to big for me. what cube should I get?

Try to get used to the big cube. If you absolutely can't find it comfortable after weeks of practice and your hands are very small maybe you need a mini cube but I'd recommend to stick to the 56-57mm one. It just takes practice at the beginning.

What's the 3x3 equivalent to the Weipo? I recently got it and I would love to know if there's a 3x3 that feels similar.
I think my WeiLong GTS feels quite similar. I think they use the same plastic which gives the same sort of turning feeling . The weipo in my opinion is just a little slower than the GTS. But I haven't touched it out of the box

Okay, I will try that out. Thank you!

I should have said "I havent modified it out of the box". I'm sure if you really wanted to you could put maru lube on the weipo to make it super fast but It's already fast enough.
Also I turned both my cubes and the weipo is louder and not as smooth as the GTS. It sounds like I'm putting down the weipo but it's actually how much better the GTS is.

(Edit) you won't be dissipointed with the GTS, that's for damn sure

K I have an Moyu Aosu 4x4. Is it still the best 4x4? Is the Cyclone boys/yuxin blue better?

Which is better yuxin or bochuang? I know bochuang is bigger which i like. But which one is faster and has better cornercutting?

Which is better moyu pyraminx or qiyi pyraminx?

I held off doing OH because I felt that the cubes were to big for me, even after getting a 54mm mini Aolong. Eventually I bought myself a 50mm mini Dayan and it was perfect to start and get my fingers working. However after a while it started to feel to small and some moves were difficult due to the small size.

I've moved onto a 54mm mini Weilong, which IMO is much better than the mini Aolong for OH as it is much more stable and blocky. The Aolong just wants to move and it flexes a fair amount which for me destroys my moves and algs. Seeing as the standard cubes are usually 56mm these days another 2mm stretch will be easy to adapt to.

Honestly, after all the mission I've gone through and money I've spent on different cubes I'd have been better off just putting in that initial practice with a standard cube. That initial awkwardness will be there no matter the size of cube as you need to learn additional finger dexterity that you don't get with 2H anyway.

Stick with some practice as Mafergut suggested ... just keep drilling the sexy move and inverse sexy move when you're sitting doing something else like watching tv etc... That practice will definitely help you get used to both the cube and the finger dexterity.
