Any thoughts on the new X-Man tornado or the GuoGuan YueXiao by Moyu? I was thinking of getting the yueXioa but idk if it's an intermediate cube or not.

I was thinking of buying a zhanchi.Do it have specifically blocking problem? I am quite unstable with aolong v2.Today it took me like 25 seconds for one solve and 36 second for another solve and it happens often. I start messing up especially after F2L.

Actually I just looked up on Yuexiao online. It looks amazing, and received universal acclaim. I'm probably gonna get one. You should definitely consider that.

I am going to choose either moyu weilong v2 or HuaLong. Which one you think is best?

it's been 2 days since i have been looking for a good cube. every time I made up my mind for a cube, somebody says it is bad and I change my mind.

Everyone has an idea of what is good and bad, sometimes it's true sometimes it's just personal preference. For a new cuber I would go with neither and get a Thunderclap. No-one really says that the Thunderclap is bad and even world class cubers have/are using it (ChrisOlson)

But he's looking for something different to the Aolong v2 so maybe the Thunderclap is not what he'll like the most. If you want something not too fast I would definitely avoid the Meiying and would either just try to overlube a bit your Aolong v2 to make it slower or go for a Tanglong. Weilong is also quite fast so you will overshoot and lock up. Hualong is also an option but I'd go for the Tanglong.

Hualong is fast too and tends to overshoot. Tanglong is a bit blocky and locks up a ton (at least for me). I think Thunderclap is definitely the way to go. It might be slightly blocky but it definitely isn't as blocky as a tanglong or aolong v2. As Chris Olson said, you can pretty much set the Thunderclap to how you like it. If you want it to be buttery smooth and slow, put some Weight 5/50k in it. If you like the clacky feel and want it to be fast, put some maru in it. So far I have not seen a single person say the Thunderclap is bad like legit real bad. Either ok or good. Furthermore it's cheap and definitely worth getting over something like a hualong which is quite hard to change the fast speed, and same goes for the tanglong which has ridiculously slow speed (at least for me). Just get the Thunderclap. Definitely won't regret it.

Yeah, I would agree with you but he says the aolong v2 is too fast for him, and that cube is not fast at all. That's why I recommended the Tanglong, which is certainly slowish. Regarding the Hualong I have mine absolutely dry, with no lube (I have left it as it came, out of the box and did not apply any additional lube) and it's not fast, at least not much but on the same level as the aolong. In fact I find these two cubes (Tanglong and Hualong) quite nice for OH because I don't overshoot with them, which for OH means a terrible lockup and waste of time. But maybe it's just me / my Hualong. Yes, the Thunderclap can be set up to be fast or slow but somebody that can do that shoul be able to slow down an Aolong as well. Tanglong is slow out of the box and the lockups in the Tanglong have improved a lot with breaking in (again in my case).

Guys, he was saying the problem with his AoLong is that it is unstable. The Thunderclap doesn't address that problem because with the same setup, it is faster and just as flexy as the AoLong.

I think he is primarily looking for something stable at the right tensions. TangLong or YueXiao would be the best choices IMO. Both are super stable, TangLong a little slower out of the box, but both are responsive to lubing for different speeds. A ZhanChi certainly fits that bill as well, but I think the other two are just better cubes at this point.

Also, an option that is very stable but fully on par with more recent cubes in terms of corner cutting can be the YJ Chilong / Yulong. It's also quite cheap right now so, if he does not like it, he's not wasting a lot of money.

Hello, I am wondering what the quietest 3x3's on the market are, for I am getting my friend a better 3x3 for their birthday, their mom is not a fan of the sound it makes. I know that the 356 is super quiet, but they have tried mine and don't like the floppy-ness (and i don't quite wanna spend the $23 on them for that.) If anyone could tell me the 3 quietest cubes currently available, it'd be very appreciated.

Hmm. My Thunderclap and Yuexiao (both setup the same way) seems to be different. My Thunderclap is very stable and doesn't flex at all, and isn't as fast as my Yuexiao. On the other hand, the Yuexiao is quite flexy and unstable, and very fast. I tried putting some weight 5 which made my Thunderclap slow down to a very controllable speed for practicing lookahead but my Yuexiao is still decently fast.
My Tanglong is horribly slow even after lubing. Even after using some Weight 2 or 1, it feels gummy and 'sticky' and quite horrible to speedsolve with. I don't think my Tanglong likes lube very much. It became horribly slow. It might just be me, though. My tps is quite fast which is why I prefer faster cubes. And no, I didn't overlube any of the above cubes.
Don't get the zhanchi. I really like its smooth buttery feel but it's just too locky for me and it pops a ton. Really outdated too compared to newer cubes.
To summarise, I think Thunderclap is a great cube to have whether you're a beginner, or a pro. Apparently you might need some setting up to prevent some flexing(?) and maybe slow it down if you like. If you like a slower cube which doesn't need much setup, then get the Tanglong, but it's a bit blockier than the Aolong. If you're looking for a fast cube to spam tps on, then get the Yuexiao or maybe Hualong.

Tanglong can actually be very fast if you trim 1/3 of its original spring, and lube it with Maru. That's what I did and it's about as fast as Hualong, but without any of Hualong's popping and corner twisting issues.

I'd recommend the Shengshou Aurora.

Rubiks 2x2

I want to start a mod, but I need 2x2 with the rubiks mechanism with the tracks, are there any cubes that have the same or do I have to buy some rubik's

I am starting to solve 5x5. I'm still a complete patzer (PB over 6 minutes) and I'm still not very good at 4x4 either (barely under 2 minutes). In case I become more confortable with big cubes would you recommend I get into 6x6 and 7x7? And, in that case, are the shengshou 6x6 and 7x7 mini good enough? I wouldn't want to spend a lot of money on an Aoshi and Aofu GT and there are no other options that I know of. Does anybody know of any rumors of Yuxin, CB or others making good and somewhat cheap 6x6 or 7x7 to compete with Moyu and SS? Because I have a lot to improve on 4x4 and 5x5 so I can affort to wait some months :)

Sorry to bump this but nobody answered and I don't know if it was because nobody has anything to say or because I added this by editing a prior post of mine and everybody had already read the original post and, hence, nobody actually read the edited part :)
