Once I get my order I will have a YueYing to compare the HuaLong with. I am not planning on doing a video on that. I will be doing a video on weights added to the Gans in the near future though... Again once I get them in the mail.
 
I am a newb. I have been cubing for only 2 months. My average solve time is just over a minute. Right now, I have a New Island Phoenix. I am mostly happy with the cube, but I just switched to the Roux method two weeks ago. And M moves are not so good on this cube. So I would like to get a new cube.

I have tried the MoYu AoLong V2, the DaYan ZhanChi, the MoYu HuaLong, and the FangShi ShuangRen V2. Out of those, I liked the ShuangRen the most. The M moves were beautiful and the cube has this nice airy/floaty feel to it. My second favorite was the HuaLong. The speed of that cube was amazing, but I had a tough time controlling it.

So my question ... Should I get the FangShi ShuangRen V2? Or should I get the FangShi GuangYing? I heard the GuangYing is an improved version of the ShuangRen. Is that right?

Also, I don't know anyone that has a MoYu WeiLong so I haven't been able to try it out. Should I be considering that one? I am guessing that if I had a hard time controlling the HuaLong, I would have a similarly difficult time controlling the WeiLong.

I can't imagine how slower slices are slowing you down at sup 1.
 
does weilong v2 made from different plastic than the v1? if it so, hows the feel compare to the v1? im sorry if this question had been asked before
 
I'll go for a zhanchi, thanks; my friend says it locks up more than the yulong tho.

Another thing to consider; whatever cube I get, I won't be able to upgrade for 4-5 months at least (my mom wont let me :( )

Just ask for tons of cubes for your birthday or Christmas or something :P
 
35 second solver here , thinking of getting a new cube from my zhanchi . Thinking of the 54.5mm Mini Aolong or the gans 357. Any suggestions? :3

To be honest, almost any recent speedcube, at least from the main manufacturers (YJ/Moyu, Fhangshi, Dayan, ShengShou, Gans, ...) will be great compared to your Rubik's brand. You have more than a dozen cubes to choose from. Any preferences?
 
Best full competition set?

So I've just gotten into speedcubing these past couple of months, and I'm getting pretty good. I'm kind of at the point where the original Shengshou cubes I got just aren't cutting it. So I have an opportunity to get some more cubes, and I want to complete my competition set.

I have some cubes that I find very satisfactory, mainly my Moyu Weilong, my Moyu Weisu, my SS Megaminx, and my MF8 Square-1. But everything else, I would really like some suggestions on what the best cubes are.

I would love your recommendations on a good 2x2, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, Skewb, and Pyraminx.
