Hey. First post around here. I did some research, however I find it hard to decide. I see many people suggest getting more than one cube.

How would a bundle with the ZhanChi, GuHong, LunHui in white be? I see these cubes getting reccomended alot of places. I'm a beginner (been cubing for 4 days) and my average is around 1min with the beginners method. Starting to learn 4 look ll today.

PS: The cube has to be able to be shipped to Eu from the eu. Or else there's a whole bunch of taxes and stuff that I really don't wanna fiddle with.

I bought tht same package as my 'starter' set. I can't recommend Puzl highly enough. Their service is superb - Tony (& Jas) replied to my initial email at 10:30 at night (I'd emailed at 10pm, not expecting a reply.)

As I was in a hurry, I paid for Special Delivery, and sure enough, the cubes were posted on the day I ordered and delivered the next day. They are great cubes, each with its own strength and weakness. As I beginner, I like the Guhong's smoothness and the weight of the Lunhui. The ZhanChi is agile. I am very happy with my cubes.

Virtually the same, but the Lubix would probably edge the sticker-less out: it's modded and pre-lubed with Lubix. You should probably stick with the sticker-less though (pun intended).

I bought both, and while they are quite different I wouldn't say one is better that the other. Zhanchi is faster (IMHO too fast when you are a newbie) and cuts corners better but it's easier to be precise with the guhong. People say the Guhong pops more but my experience is the opposite I've never popped the Guhong and I have had quite a few pops with the ZhanChi, nothing serious and more my fault than the cube's.

So my advice is... buy both and judge by yourself

I am from India, & i want to buy a speedcube online, preferably a Type F-II DIY cube, because in all the cube reviews i have read, i have found F-II are the best. So Now when i search online, I couldn't find a single F-II dIY to buy. .
The cubes i found are :

FII is generally not considered the best cube nowadays, but obviously it is still quite good. The more popular 3x3s are dayans (zhanchis and guhong version 2s are probably most popular among those). A dayan 6 should be coming out sometime soon if you want to wait for that. Another cube is a witlong, but most think it's inferior to dayans.

In the end, of course, it all comes down to personal preference. Go on you tube and watch some reviews of different cubes and make you own decision, or, if possible, buy more than one and decide then.

buying 2 cubes at such prices is going to get me killed by my parents...the price of 1 of them can get me killed...not sure if i would be able to afford one...

BTW i heard that many people faced problems with the guhong like misunderstanding between the guhong 1 and 2 as sellers do not specifies them...as compared to zhanchi-i have not heard of problems

Just ask the seller. If that takes too long, then look at the colour of the box. All the GuHong v1 images I have seen have green boxes, whereas my GHv2 box was yellow. Look at Puzzle Addictions to see for yourself.

I have both the GuHong v2 and the Zhanchi. They are both good, IMHO. The GuHong is fast and very smooth whereas the ZhanChi is crispy is and very fast. I prefer the GuHong as I find I can control it better.

Whichever you go for, I think you will more than pleased with the result. Be sure to tension and lube it though. I'm playing with an out-of-the-box ZhanChi at the moment and tensions are all over the place.

As for cost, check out the bundles from icubemart. Also check the prices from dealmaz. As you are in Mauritius, dealmaz may work out cheaper due to postage costs.

Can't afford to buy so many cubes, can't know which to pick if you can't try them. I say go to competition and try other people's cubes before you decide which one to get for yourself.
