How many moves should F2L be for sub6 F2L?
In Jperms sub15 video he said most pairs should be solved in at most 8 moves, making F2L roughly 32 moves. This would require almost 6 TPS which in my opinion sounds a little to high.

If you really want to get sub-6, do what some people do.
Instead of thinking 8 moves per pair, you could do 14 moves per 2 pairs.
So this would -1 for each pair, making your rod to be around 4TPS.
And some alg. Doesn't even require 8 moves. If you can do it efficiently, 4 seconds is not even a problem

Since I really am a not-so-good cuber, I need some help on memorizing F2L. I think I am just doing it wrong because I memorized PLL perfectly, its just for F2L I cannot remember the orientation of each piece you are doing to make it a pair, but the good thing is that I can memorize the algorithms easily. What can I do?

You shouldn't be using algorithmic F2L; intuitive F2L is much better. F2L is basically about blockbuilding, which you can learn on your own just by doing slow, untimed solves and trying to find the most efficient ways to insert pairs. Watching walkthrough solves helps too.

Do what DGCubes said, but if you still need help, go to this thread: https://www.speedsolving.com/forum/threads/f2l-discussion-and-help.813/
Read around there to see if you can find what you're looking for. If not, ask there

Im sub 15 right now and and my tps is good but i want increase it and get better at F2l

How Can i do this?
Don't time your solves. Do slow solves thinking about what you are doing. Do slow-ish solves where you are not pausing at all and maintaining a steady pace. Keep doing this, and in your timed solves, you will hopefully slow down, lookahead and get better times.

You don't want to be spamming TPS on each F2L pair, then pausing massively while having to look for the next.

So you just try to move intuitively and write your moves down just in case it builds a pair? Not trying to be offensive I just am not totally clear. I will probably check out your vid on that DG.

Oh, I'm sorry, I can't seem to find video. I looked up DGCubes F2l and I found lots keyhole related results that I already know about. Can you post it here?

So I memorized like 18 F2L Cases, and I am just wondering what would your average be as soon as you learn F2L. Not master, learn. I read some people saying times will temporarily be worse, but I am just trying to confirm. Thanks for the help!

Honestly it could really be anything depending on your level of lookahead and how much intuitiveness/influencing you do though yes in general you will be anywhere from 4 to 30 second slower depending on the rest of your solve.

ouch! 30 seconds slower? Wow. I used my 16 F2Ls and I got only 3 seconds slower than original, but that is prob because I used to use keyhole, but I was bad at keyhole. Should I learn look ahead after full F2L, or start now?

Looking ahead is kind of an "intuitive" skill that builds over time as you practise. Unless your F2L (including cross) is sub-15 already, there isn't really a need to specifically practise looking ahead (e.g. tracking pieces for multiple pairs). It wouldn't hurt per se, but getting the F2L cases into muscle memory is more useful at this point.

So basically I am trying my hardest to get sub 40. I do 4LLL which takes me a max of 11 seconds depending on cases.

Now.... I average about 37 with EASY CROSS SCRAMBLES

But when I put on regular I average 50-51.

I try solving the cross upside down, and for some reason I just cant get the hang of the cross. I will literally have 9-13 seconds crosses on average with out easy cross scrambles.

It's depressing. I want to get faster, and obviously I know it takes practice... i just don't know how to like get my cross time down. (Please help with cross only, I am learning F2L and eventually that will get fast regardless of cross, but F2L isn't my problem right now it's cross)

I say that about F2L because i have only been practicing F2L for about 10 days. And I dropped from 65 seconds average to about 45

PLEASE HELP SORRY FOR THE LONG EXPLAINATION

I would watch some example solves from fast cubers to see how they do the cross. This should help you to start seeing the most efficient cross for each situation.

You should be able to plan out the cross during inspection, so try taking as long as you need to plan out the cross, so that when you go to solve, you can do it in a few seconds. Keep practicing this until you can do it in less than 15 seconds - it shouldn't take too long

Good luck.

See my problem is I can plan out the first 2 but when I get to the third fourth I get all wierd and just start the timer and hope i get it right. It's annoying though, and I have watched example solves... and tried the unlimited inspection kinda like JPERM but idk, I wish this stuff was easy haha. But I will definitely keep trying!
