Hello ! I've got quite an important question : does it really matter where i get my algorithms from and if it does where should i get them from ?
I began learning 1 look oll with jperm's video but i hesitate to switch to either his website or algdb.net to learn the rest of them. Like can one source be objectively better than an other or should i just try a bunch of them and see which one fits me the most ?
Thanks in advance !
No, it doesn't matter where you get them from - if they're good. Try different ones, see which you like.

The algs are the same on all websites.
If you take one, recommended by Jperm or Feliks, you know at least that some top players use this alg and if there are youtube videos, you can see the fingertricks

I usually search algs on https://speedcubedb.com/
There you can see how many cubers use these algs, for the most popular there are youtube videos and when I was a beginner I was happy about the 3D Animations of the algs.
You can even make your own alg sheets and watch the alg sheets of the top players.

The algs don't matter to an extend. Sure it doesn't matter if you use AlgDB, CubeDB, JPerms Website, Cubeskills or many updated Google Spreadsheets roaming around the internet.
However, websites like Sarah's, Vandenbergh's, Gilles Roux', Jaapsch, Jessica Fridrich's or in many cases this Wiki aren't seen as contemporary anymore.

I'm currently using CFOP and im sub 16 i use intuitive f2l(although it's pretty advanced)i know about 30 OLL's and full PLL,
Should i learn full oll to pass the sub 15 barrier or should i improve my F2L, turning speed etc...?
how often do you run into OLLs you don’t know?
if you could give some splits of your times i can give more precise tips

I did a solve here are my splits:
Cross:1.7
F2L:8.8
OLL:2.5
PLL:2.5
Total:15.5 and that's what i mostly average
To answer your question i feel like it's 50/50 (1st question)
I think your OLL and PLL could be faster, so work on execution using bestsiteever.ru and make sure to avoid useless regrips and use the best fingertricks. Finish learning full OLL too

Cross could be faster as well so watch example solves and make sure that they are under 8 moves.

As for F2L, it’s fast enough for you to become sub-15 but I’ll just note these:
Make sure you are able to recognize and execute F2L cases quickly.
Know how to solve pieces into the back slots
don’t rotate twice for one F2L pair, limiting yourself to 1 rotation per pair (although best if you don’t max out that limit)

Thx bro

How advanced does my CFOP need to be to get sub 15 (or sub 10?)?
for sub 15:
you need to be able to solve most of your F2L pairs in 8 moves or less, together with the back slot cases. You also should know full OLL and PLL. Cross also needs to be 8 moves or less. You should also be able to plan full cross in inspection. Lookahead should also be decent (like no pauses for one pair with like 5TPS)
for sub-10:
you should be able to plan cross+1 (or just know where your next F2L pieces are and not exactly the case), your turnspeed should also be around 5-7 TPS, your lookahead should be good (like no pauses for 2 pairs), and you should be able to execute most of your LL algs in less than one second and recognize them within about 0.3 seconds

I don't think that full OLL is neccecery for sub 15, but definently for sub 10.

I’m a little confused on how xcross works because every tutorial I’ve found just said make a pair during the cross but I found somewhat vague, could someone explain that more in depth for me?
