Actually, I have heard that the Dayan 2x2 is pretty good (after all, it is made from a Zhanchi) so I might go with that. As for the 3x3, I have been borrowing a friend's Guhong (that's what I planned to use at the comp) and I'm quite used to it and like it, but I just hate all the pops. I was going to put all of the torpedoes from my stickerless zhanchi into the edges, but it turns out that they don't fit. Really, I can go with any style, probably, as long as it's very fast; the Guhong doesn't have such of a nice feel as my Zhanchi, but the Guhong goes faster, for me. Guhong is scratchy, and Zhanchi is smoother (at least, the stickerless is). So speed is my priority, I guess; I don't really care about the feel.

Dayan is awesome, go for that with 2x2. Try a Moyu aolong for a 3x3.

Ok i'm around 15-17 secs on 3x3
and i currently use a zhanchi without torpedoes
and i love it but i want to try a new cube
I'm deciding between a weilong and an aolong
i've heard pros and cons of both and i've watched many videos on both
people say it feels like an aosu out of the box but that feeling goes away
i have an aosu but i don't really like it maybe that's because i don't practice 4x4
i'm leaning toward the weilong becusse i want the option to take the torpedoes out of it considering my zhanchi i took tue torpedoes out of

That is a tough choice because both are good 3x3s. I personally prefer the WeiLong over the AoLong because I find the later sort of sluggish and it just doesn't suit my turning style. I think the WeiLong is more stable and smoother as well as faster. I would recommend the WeiLong for you. One because it's an excellent cube and secondly because I think it feels more like a Zhanchi than the AoLong and you like your Zhanchi. I am not a fan of the AoLong but some people love it and use it as their main so I feel this cube may be a hit or miss cube whereas the WeiLong is more widely liked.

Thanks!
one more question
when you got your moyu cubes,
were the screws stripped or anything?
because i was thinking of getting an extra hardware set incase of that

Sure, no problem.
No I've never had an issue with stripped screws with MoYu cubes, I have with ShengShou cubes, but it is a good idea to have extras just in case (especially because hardware sets are so cheap however I doubt you will ever need it).

I currently have a Moyu Weilong V2 and was thinking about buying a Dayan Zhanchi, is this a good or a bad move? My average for the 3x3 is 42 seconds.

Do you need to lube the Dayan Zhanchi out of the box? Thanks!

If you find the moyu weilong hard to control at your speed, I suggest getting the YJ Chilong. If not, just stick to the weilong and don't get a new cube. At your speed, it's the technique that matters more, not the cube.

I want to get a new 3x3 soon as I don't really enjoy my Aolong. I have decided on either a White Weilong or Zhanchi? Which one should I get? As for speed, I average around 24 seconds and will probably be sub 20 soon when I learn Full PLL.

Weilong FTW!

I don't lube the pieces on my cubes. I just take the entire cube apart and lube the core and hardware. Based off of what you described I would probably suggest the YuLong since you axed the ShuangRen. It's clicky, fast and doesn't pop but pops are caused by turning and not necessarily the cube. You mentioned earlier that your Zhanchi pops. I have 8 Zhanchis and none of them pop but that is probably because I am used to how a Zhanchi turns. Some cubes just take getting used to. The WeiLong is also an option but it's very, very smooth and you said you would prefer a smooth/scratchy/clicky cube so I don't know if you would like it. Another cube you may like is the Gans III v2 simply because it's very light as well as crunchy. But honestly it really doesn't matter what speed cube you use. It is important to find a cube you like but there is no such thing as the perfect speed cube.
Can you post a short tutorial how you lube your cube or give me a link. My Aolong also is very sluggish and takes good enough effort to turn!

Give me names!

I started cubing about 5 months ago, I have a Gear Shift, a Shuang Ren Gen II, a Dayan Zhanchi, a Dayan Megaminx, a homade 1x1x2 1x1 and book cube and I am buying a silver blocks cube, a pyraminx a axis cube and a Shengshou 4x4 all at once on Friday but would still like a load more puzzles and I would highly love it if people can give me links and names of cubes that are under £20, are in GBP and would not take long to arrive.

Thanking thankfulness of thanks!:tu

I don't know about the conversion to Euros, but a SS 5x5 can be found for about 10 us dollars, a LanLan skewb for about 10 as well. A SS mastermorphix for like 10. A Dayan 2x2 for 15.

I have a pillowed V-cube 2x2, 3x3, and 4x4. I just started cubing a couple months ago. I was thinking about getting a v-cube 5x5 but there is not a pillowed one out yet (although i have been told by V-cube that there will be one soon). I am wondering if I should wait and start working on a 5x5, or if jumping to a 7x7 is fine.

I would highly highly recommend getting a shengshou 5x5. They are much better than vcubes once broken in. And if you want to go for bigger cubes, all you really need to know is how to solve a 5x5. Solving a 5x5 is not much different than 7x7, but there are some differences between solving a 4x4. You can buy a 5x5 and 7x7 all in one go if you like.

Also, get a shengshou 7x7 mini, you won't regret it.

I currently have a LunHui,Rubik's brand,Weilong,Shuangren and a ,V- Cube 2 Always I will be getting an aosu.
I am thinking of getting another WCA puzzle. What should I get?
