I have a zhanchi that is ultra fast but locks up quite a bit. I have a weilong that is very smooth, but not that fast. I like the feeling of the weilong better but I'd like it to be as fast as my zhanchi and it'd be the perfect cube. I know there's supposedly nothing faster than a weilong, but my lubed zhanchi is definitely faster. My zhanchi is lubed ( core is even dirty at the moment with quite some dust ), the weilong is only lubed on the core at the moment. Any tiny drop of silicone inside it makes it slower, even though I usually put more in my other cubes. I don't know if I should try to mod my zhanchi or try a weilong v2, or any other cube.

I like doing moves fast and precise, that don't require too much power to turn, basically my weilong is really good when I put a bit of maru lube inside it, but I can't afford a drop every 10 solves when doing 200 solves a day. I like smooth cubes, and definitely hate lockups.

What cube should I get ?

Your Weilong sounds like it's a dud. You should tell these things to place where you bought it. Or then it's just that you're doing something wrong. If you want totally new cube, try Fangshi ShuangRen :)

The cube was rather good when I first got it, then I broke it in, cleaned the pieces and relubed the core. I wouldn't say it's a bad cube at all though, it's still my main at the moment. Even though I come back more and more to my zhanchi lately. I would just like it to be a little faster somehow. It actually feels almost like my zhanchi 55mm. I just don't understand since everybody seems to have problems with the fact that weilongs are hard to control. Mine is rather blocky, smooth, and got a normal speed, even with loose tensions. I just like tight cubes better. How fast is the shuangren compared to a zhanchi or a weilong ? Also I heard there are some issues with corner caps popping which always kept me from trying it, but maybe it's time.

Currently, my main is a fangshi shuang ren 54.6mm... But I want to get a cube which is fast and controllable, smooth and quiet..( this is bcuz the fangshi locksup while solving, thus ruining my times) Is the guhong V2 good for my style?? Does it lockup or pop a lot?? Or how about the weilong??? I don't know.... Please help!!

Thanks a lot!!!!! :)

Weilong seems just your kind of a cube! It's smooth, controllable, fast and doesn't lock up or pop. It's not very quiet, but not loud either. It's the best out there :D

2X2 and 4X4

Okay so I have 2 questions.

1. I'm thinking about getting a 2X2 and a 4X4 cube, and I'm looking into the Dayan Zhanchi. Is it better to get the stickerless one or the stickered one and put on new ones? Also, what are some good sticker brands besides Cubesmith?

2. I'm also thinking about getting a 4X4. I could only find a Shengshou 4X4. Does Dayan make any 4X4s? I've had a pretty good experience with the Zhanchi 3X3.

1.The moyu lingpo is a really good 2x2 and is cheaper and maybe better than the dayan zhanchi 2x2..... Always get the stickered version of any cube because they are competition legal.. The sticker less ones are illegal..
Other then cubesmith, you should try the cubicle's stickers-they're awesome!! They have stickers specially made for some cubes...

2. The dayan 4x4 is not that good of a choice.... Instead you could buy a moyu weisu or a moyu aosu.... The latter is costlier and doesn't pop......
Moyu weisu is an awesome 4x4, but it has one issue - popping ...

Hope this helped you make your choice!!!!!!
:D :)

The top speedcubes IMO are the:
2x2: Moyu Lingpo
3x3: Moyu Weilong
4x4: Moyu Weisu or Aosu.

1. I recommend fangshi 2x2 (I think it's good, others probably don't), dayan zhanchi 2x2, or moyu lingpo. Stickered cubes are comp legal while stickerless are not and you can get stickers from thecubicle.us
2. Moyu aosu is very good if you have the money. If you don't want to spend that much on a 4x4, the shengshou 4x4 v5 is also a very good choice. There is a dayan mf8 4x4 but it is not very good.

I will second thecubicle.us I love its stickers and just got 2 more sets in the mail the other day from them. I recommend full brights ;)

Is this cube any good?

So I'm new to speedcubing, and I've never bought a cube other than the official Rubik's.
http://www.amazon.com/Diansheng-3x3x.../dp/B00FFHFVB6
^^Could anybody tell me whether that cube is decent(fast, cuts corners, smooth, etc.)? And also how you can tell whether it's type A, B, C, etc. ?
Also could anybody explain to me the actual difference between those types?
If anybody knows other places to buy good cubes, it would be much appreciated as well. So far I've only heard of cube4you, but they don't really have Diansheng.

I need you guys opinion on whether I should buy a Moyu Weilong or a Shengshou Aroura. I have a rubiks brand 3x3 and hate it and now I'm looking into speedcubing. My best time is 59.56 sec.

I like the shengshou for both the 2x2 and 4x4

Don't get that, get the shengshou wind.

Does anyone know of a cube that is similar to the CX3? I've read that the Huanying is somewhat crunchy, is that true?
