Hi

I hope I'm posting this in the right section.

I would like to get recommendations for a 3x3x3 cube that's fast out of the box.

As it happens, I learned to solve the cube using the beginner's method. Then, I switched to the 2x2x2. I learned with a Lanlan and then got a Wittwo type C, and the speed difference out of the box just blew me away! That made me realize that my 3x3x3 cubes (Dayan Guhong, a white one and a stickerless one) were actually slow, so I'm looking for a 3x3x3 that would enable me to enjoy the same speed as my out-of-the-box Wittwo, but without having to lube/tension it (right now, I want to focus on learning the CFOP method instead of dismantling and lubing cubes, which I'm willing to keep for later).

Would a recent cube like Fangshui or Moyu do? Or should I look straight into pre-lubed cubes? Any help will be appreciated :)

Weilong is amazing out of the box, as is Huanying.
And Weilong doesn't need lubing. Period. It helps, but you don't need it.

What's the consensus on silent cubes? I remember someone saying that a WeiLong is near silent but a Gan iii is completely silent, but on a video review the gan iii sounded really loud. Also someone said that a ShengShou Aurora was silent. Consensus?

From my experience with cubes I own and from cubing in class (not speed cubing, just slow turning and stuff):
quiet: lunhui, guhong v1 and v2, mini zhanchis, 57mm zhanchi, ghost hand cubes, A1 (very broken in), probably F2
not quiet: alpha 5, type F3, probably alpha CC, dianshengs (do people even use those anymore to speed solve?)
in the middle: shuangren (depends on how broken in it is and how you lube it), weilong (depends on how you lube it and set it up. mine is very loud even when over lubed), huanying (all the ones I tried were loud)

Didn't own any other cubes so I don't know but other people can probably add on.

My Weilong is WAY quieter than my Guhong v1. (or pretty much any other cube
I have ever seen.) Watch my youtube video about it. Huanying is LOUD!! Any cube with open pieces is generally very loud.

Thanks to all those who replied to me :) Guess I'll just have to learn how to properly lube cubes then. Just one more thing to learn.

Thanks again.

Hey I need to know which Megaminx is better: The meffert's or the Dayan Megaminx(Both will end up being lubed/tensioned by me anyway)?

I don't own as many different types as Yuxuibbs, but among the cubes I do own, I will list them in order from quiet to loud:
50mm Zhanchi
55mm Zhanchi
Lunhui (hasn't been lubed in forever though)
Guhong v1
Weilong
Shuangren
Zhanchi

The Lunhui is rather quiet... maybe one of the most quiet but I just haven't lubed it in a long time. The Zhanchi is the loudest that I have but it's not really that loud. And the Weilong is quiet if you turn very accurately but louder if you don't turn accurately (the pieces don't make so much noise when rubbed against each other, but corner cutting is louder).

The HuanYing is ridiculously loud. But by now that kinda goes without saying.
