I went from storebought to Guhong. Yeah, it was slippery at first but you'll learn to use it properly with practice. I also found that I was able to learn new and better algs with the Guhong. Some finger tricks just wouldn't have worked well on my storebought so I never bothered to learn those. But with a good cube, I found that they were doable and actually faster than my original algs. I'm still trying to figure out if I need to improve any of my OLL or PLL algs or fingertricks that I originally started with. So yeah, I don't think an intermediate cube is necessary.

So I'm getting myself a new cube because my current one seems to pop with the slightest wrong move, to the point where it's unusable (how can I tighten it?). And it's not really a good quality cube anyway.

I just want a good-quality cube that many people use. I have looked at cubes like Dayan Zanchi or the Dayan Guhong since they seem to be mentioned alot, but I have absolutely no idea if they are good, what the differences are, if there are any better alternatives nor where I can buy one. Also, once I get my cube, what steps can I take to ''customize'' it (as in increase/reduce resistance needed to turn, tension etc)? I have also heard that there are some ''DIY'' cubes but I'm not sure how they pair up to pre-assembled cubes. My one requirement must be that is cuts corners decently.

Also, what stores ship to Norway/internationally?

There cube like the F2 and Alpha which can be found on amazon.

I think that basicly any Dayan puzzle will suit your needs. If you want a puzzle that does not pop much, once again any Dayan cube but a Guhong V1 it is now to pop more than the other Dayan cubes. But if you want a Guhong then get the V2 it will not pop nearly as much.

True for that but your liking just depends on that Dayan cube you use.

So the Dayan Guhong V2 would have decent corner-cutting, little popping and good speed/movement? So which website would I order this from?
