Alright, so I want a cube that pop very very little, I am much more forgiving of locks than pops. I want at least decent corner cutting, but preferably a similar "crisp" feel to my Dayan. I have a Guhong and the popping every 10 solves kills me.

I have a Lubix Zhanchi, and I love it. For a second cube, what do you guys recommend?
I don't want something that pops, and good corner cutting would obviously be appreciated.
Keep in mind that I'm fairly new to cubing, and won't be able to handle a super loose cube.

Alright,
I know decent F2L, 4-Look LL, and I average around high-30's.
I have a stickerless Zhanchi (which I really like), as well as a lot of the "low-end" cubes (Ghosthand I & II, C4Y, MF8 Legend).

I had CRC in my Zhanchi for a while, but I got Traxxas (which is supposedly the same as Lubix) and used it...amazing cube now.

I want to get a really nice cube that is competition-legal since I'll probably start doing competitions in the future.

Since I like the feel of a Zhanchi, should I just get a black/solid colored one? Or should I try something like an F-II or an A-V?

EDIT: Which is better: Lubix Fusion, Ultimate Lubix Zhanchi (like what are the top 3/4 Lubix Cubes (not including the Elite...I'm not spending $100 on a cube)?

Thanks :)

I can't offer much help, but I personally LOVE my zhanchi. Plus you know what a zhanchi feels like with lubix-style lube, so keep that in mind.

Fusion should be pretty good too, but you can decide if the extra $6 price is worth it.

You should pretty much like any Lubix cube though.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums but have been solving cubes for a while now. Took a break and now am coming back.

I'm looking for a nice 3x3, one that will move nice and fast and smoothly. No locks, I'm forgiving to the once in a blue moon pop, but don't want it happening every other solve. Pretty much I just want to know the top three best cubes in the market right now and what styles suit them.

Also, as a side question, I'm also looking for a nice Pyraminx, any ideas?

Thanks.

Dayan Zhanchi - Smooth/Fast - With the torpedoes in it doesn't pop (I would recommend this for you)
Alpha V - Fast/Crispy - Not quite as fast as the Zhanchi, and is crispy instead of smooth. Doesn't pop either.
Dayan GuHong - Fast - Mostly smooth. Unless you buy a Lubix Fusion, it doesn't come with torpedoes and pops some. Still a good cube though.

Overall, for you, I'd recommend the Zhanchi. As for a pyraminx, I'd recommend a QJ. Mozhi/Ghost Hand are terrible, and the Mefferts one is way too expensive, and is just about as good as the QJ.

Yeah I was looking at the DuHong and the Zanchi but couldn't pick. I'll definitely go with the Zanchi then. And probably will grab the others in the future.

As for the Pyraminx I have no idea about the different brands so I'll definitely go with your choice, I'll go with the QJ if I can find one.

Thanks man, helped a lot.

I'm currently looking for a decent 5x5. I've looked to a bunch of threads in the forum (Can't watch reviews at youtube yet), and before choosing I would like to know all the options out there. For the moment I know there are V cubes (Too expensive IMO, but if they are awesome I would consider them as an option), Shengshou (I don't mind if I have to mod it to avoid locks like the SS 4x4 V3 I have), rubik's brand / professor cube (I have absolutely no info about this one) and Eastsheen (I've heard that it's kinda like the Shengshou), and I'm not sure if Ghost hand makes this one.

Am I missing any brand worth considering? I've read couple of threads and almost everyone recommends the V cube, but i have serious doubts about if it's worth it.

-If you want a V-cube, you must spend hours upon hours modding it to make it better than the Shengshou 5x5.
-Shengshou 5x5 comes very good out of the box.
-I hope the Rubik's Professor is a joke, don't get this cube.
-The Eastsheen cube is fast, but it locks up almost every single turn. It corner cuts a TINY little bit (1mm)

I would get a Shengshou 5x5 unless you are really into 5x5,
you should get a v-cube and mod it and break it in for a hundreds of hours.

Thanks ;]

Thank you, then I guess I will get the SS. I don't mind modding cubes at all, It's something I really enjoy, but I find the prices of the V cubes really high, and I'm not that much into cubing to consider spending 30 bucks in a 5x5...

Thanks! :)
