I thought the original GAN 2x2s were fine, but high level people mainly used the valk. I think Kevin Gerhardt mains a GAN 2x2.

The orange centerpiece from your main 3x3
And for larger purchases, or for people in a place where The Cubicle/SCS is not an options (like being in EU), there is ziicube.com - Cheap, but shipping starts at $10 or thereabout - They do have a DDP shipping options (Delivery and Duties Paid) so you will not be hit by new EU rules on July 1st. Or cubezz.com /aliexpress for individual cubes - but they will likely be taxed from July 1st.
But all china options are slow delivery - at least 2 weeks (The ziicube DDP), and AliExpress standard shipping is often 3-4 weeks. Free shipping 6-12 weeks.
there is also cubezz which is not as cheap (still theaper than TC or SCS), but they have free shipping on all orders. Shipping also takes a long time as I have heard though.

Given that you live in India I would suggest to keep ordering from CubeLelo as it will be faster and best value, but as @AlgoCuber said, they are almost definitely advertising their own line, so be aware that it may be slightly biased

With the mgcs and the dnm 37, you can't go wrong, I own an mgc 5x5 and, after tightening it slightly, is a good cube to solve on. About the Tengyuns, I've heard that they are smooth and the slices are good, but they are very fast. Bear in mind that the tengyuns fit a specific niche that may not suit you

at the moment im still trying to learn some algs and am not timing solves yet, but my bday is coming and up and was considering asking for one.
should i get the mgc or volt v2, or just stick to the ylm?

A lot of people will tell you otherwise, but I think the YLM is garbage. Mine had awful cornercutting, it didn't feel "magnetic" at all, and to top it off it stripped. The Volt V2 is a bit better. It has sliiightly better cornercutting. The cube actually has good strength magnets. Slice is really nice, but the U/D layers were about as slow and resistant as a Rubik's brand cube.

Definitely get the MGC. I've never tried it before (mine is still shipping) but if it's anything like other YJ cubes it's going to be three times better than the YLM and the Volt v2. And from I've heard, that's pretty much the case. Remarkable cornercutting, fast U/D layers, similar magnet strength as Volt. Basically everything you can ask for.

Hi,
GAN 356M vs WRM2021 | which one would be better?
I'm confused between these two cubes. been using RS3M 2020 with the extra magnets. Love the cube but it is a bit too heavy for me. I prefer softer turning and medium magnets. I am confused between wrm2021 and gan356m since they're in the 25 to 35 dollar range. Any other suggestions in the same price tier are welcome too.
PS: I used monster go magnetic. Hated it.

I also like lighter cubes and I also have a couple of RS3M 2020 with extra magnets (stickered and black). They are really very nice after careful setup, but they are too heavy, and also a little bit big for me. The extra weight after adding the magnets and the stronger magnetic strength together make turning harder than I would like, esp for the M-moves. In addition, I also like a quieter cube. Tornado V2 addressed all of these issues. I can see it from its reviews that it does not reverse corner cut as well as others, but I have not experienced any problem at all in actual solves. The WR M 2021 is according to the reviews so far, almost the same as the Tornado V2, just a little heavier, a few dollars pricier, and apparently noiser but it seems better in reverse corner cutting and it allows you to get to the springs. There is a review from SpeedCubeShop comparing these two (but not with the Gan356 M).

I actually had tornado v2 in my mind too. But it has a rivetted screw and if I ever need to lube the spring and screw, it's just gonna make it a lot harder. The lockup and corner-cutting problems that many others told also kinda took me away from tornado v2. I saw your thread on it BTW. It's a nice one. I'm not a fast cuber so maybe yeah tornado v2 seems good too. I've heard it feels a lot like the GAN puzzles. But I guess if I'm spending $25 I might as well spend a bit more and buy avoid the lockup and corner-cutting issues.

Hello all.

I currently have the Moyu RS3 M and the Gan 356 XS.

Does anyone have any good cubes to recommend? Any price is good; I prefer fast cubes.

If it helps, I shop at Cubing Out Loud, a Canadian speedcubing store and have lube.
